Islam Makhachev Eyes Charles Oliviera Streak vs Streak Match

Islam Makhachev is confident of securing the lightweight championship match after UFC Vegas 49.
Makhachev(21-1) will face UFC Veteran Bobby Green, a last-minute replacement at UFC Fight Night 202 event on February 26. He was earlier supposed to face #3 ranked Beniel Dariush, but Dariush suffered an injury and pulled out of the event.
The winner between Dariush and Makhachev would have been considered a defacto contender for the lightweight title. However, despite the change in the bout, Makhachev is expected to secure a title shot with a win. And Makhachev is confident that Charles Oliviera will retain his title when he faces Justin Gaethje at UFC 274.
“I think Oliveira is going to beat Justin Gaethje, and (it will be) 11-(fight) winning streak vs. 10-win streak,” Makhachev said in the press conference. “This is going to be a big fight for all MMA fans.”(h/t to MMA Junkie)
The Russian Fighter said that both of their styles will make a good fight.
“It’s going to be a good fight because we almost have the same style. He has good grappling skills, he has good striking, and it’s going to be a good fight. I don’t think it’s going to be hard for me. I can take him down easy because I know he doesn’t have good wrestling skills. But his grappling skills (are) high level and we will see who is better there.”
