Oleksandr Usyk-Anthony Joshua Rematch Might Take Place in April

According to Eddie Hearn, the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua might take place in April this year. It seems like the second match between them might take place outdoors in London.

Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua last year in September in order to win the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight titles. 

Anthony Joshua hinted that he would exercise his rematch clause right after losing his titles. Initially, there was speculation that that fight might take place in February 2022.

But now Eddie Hearn stated that April seems to be more realistic for the rematch. He revealed Anthony Joshua is still trying new trainers. Also, they preferred the UK as the venue of the rematch. 

Joshua even considered a deal where he allowed Usyk to fight Tyson Fury. However, this deal never progressed as Dillan Whyte became the mandatory challenger for Fury.

Now, everyone is eagerly waiting for the official announcement of Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk II that reveals its date and venue.
