Thurman-Barrios Undercard Drew 963K Avg Viewers

According to the latest reports, the undercard bouts of Keith Thurman vs Mario Barrios drew an average of 963,000 viewers. 

Nielsen Media Research reported that two bouts prelims that were aired on free TV managed to get 963K average viewers. The viewership peaked during the second bout as at that time a total of 1,076,000 viewers tuned in to Fox. 

That was a pretty strong showing considering the fact that the 2022 Winter Olympics was airing at the same time on NBC. Fox’s viewership for the prelims increased by 32% compared to their previous PPV event. 

Both the bouts were quite competitive and entertaining. In the first bout, Omar Juarez defeated Ryan Karl via split decision whereas, in the second one, Santamaria pulled off an upset over Ramos. 

Whereas in the main event Keith Thurman made his long-awaited return inside the ring. He proved that he is still an elite fighter by defeating Mario Barrios via unanimous decision in a 12-round bout.
