WWE Slammy Awards 2020 Winners, Live Coverage
WWE is hosting their year-end Slammy Awards 2020, celebrating the best in the company for the year.
The awards like Superstar of the year, match of the year, rivalry of the year, and many more will be announced. You can check the nominations for WWE Slammy Awards 2020 here. We will bring you the list of winners, live coverage from the pre-show and main show from 10 AM EST onwards. You can also catch both the pre-show and main show below.
WWE Slammy Awards 2020 Pre-Show
The usual WWE’s The Bump panel opens the show. They hype the awards before we switch to the host for the main show, R-Truth, for some comedy. The panel discuss the match of the year award for a while before we cut to the promo for Royal Rumble 2021. Next, we get the playlist of Top 10 best moments from Slammy Awards. Now, we get a promo for the Bump.
We are back with the panel who are discussing the return of the year award. We cut for the comments from the Miz and John Morrison who are not nominated in any of the categories.
Most Clever 24/7 Pin of the Year
The first award of the night is presented at the pre-show itself. The award is for “Most Clever 24/7 Pin” which goes to Drew Gulak for pinning R-Truth by disguising as a member of cleaning staff. And accepting the award on behalf of Gulak is R-Truth. R-Truth is so happy that he has won second Slammy Award of his career and runs away with it.
WWE Slammy Awards 2020 Main Show
The main show starts with R-Truth in a limosine. He is excited to host the Slammy and want to host
He reaches WWE’s Archives Warehouse. He gets out of the cab but no one is there. No Red Carpet, Nothing. R-Truth is pissed but says the show must go on. We cut to the theme song for the show with Joseph Williams and Evan Mack.
R-Truth is at the podium and thanks Williams and Mack for the theme song. Now, he welcomes the audience which is us watching live online and the cut-outs of WWE Superstars. He converse with the cut-outs for a while for some comedy.
Male Superstar of the Year – Drew McIntyre
He welcomes the first presenter for the evening- WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. He will presenting the Male Superstar of the Year award. We get the nomineees. And the winner for the Male Superstar of the Year Slammy Awards 2020 is – Drew McIntyre.
We cut to Drew McIntyre at his home and he mentions how this is his first Slammy. He discusses how the year has been bad due to the Coronavirus but WWE has tried to make people smile throughout the year.
Ring Gear of the Year – The New Day
Nicole Snooki Polizi is there to present the award for the ring gear of the year 2020. We get the nominations before cutting back to Polizi for the announcement. And the winner is – The New Day.
We cut to Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston from the New Day. Woods says they work on their costumes so much as they are part of sports entertainment. Kofi then throws an award across the screen and Big E catches it another frame. Big E is excited as usual and gives shot out to their designers. Big E also mentions how this the first Slammy for the New Day.
Return of the Year – Edge
Mick Foley is there live from his Winter Cabin to announce the Return of the Year. He mentions how he had made many returns to the WWE ring and credits the enviroment and the prizes as the motivation. We cut to the nominees.
The winner of Return of the Year 2020 is – Edge. Foley mentions how excited he was to watch Edge return at Royal Rumble 2020. Foley accepts the award of Edge’s behalf as Edge is working hard on his return again.
R-Truth has seen through Edge and tells him that Edge should not come for his 24/7 Championship. He announces Todd Petinngill who lists his top 5 Slammy Award moments.
WWE Musical Performer of the Year – Elias
There is only one nomination for this award- Elias. He plugs in his album Universal Truth after an in-character promo.
Rivalry of the Year – Edge vs Randy Orton
R-Truth is excited for this award as he is there as one of the nominees. He also mentions how Lana vs Announce Tables is also one of the nominees. Demi Burnett is there to present the award.
The winner for Rivalry of the year Slammy Award 2020 is – Edge vs Randy Orton. Randy Orton accepts the award. R-Truth is pissed that they are just two and won the award while his rivalry was with over 6 billion people on this planet.
Female Superstar of the Year – Sasha Banks
Trish Stratus is there to present the award. The winner for Female Superstar of the year Slammy Award 2020 is – SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks. Randy Orton accepts the award.
Beth Pheonix appears and recalls her win in 2008 and how she was thrown into Santino Marella by Melina when she went on to accept her award.
Breakout Star of the Year – The Street Profits
WWE Fan and Tiktok star Derek Baker is there with a vignette on WWE’s work with society. Baker then goes on to announce the winner for Breakout Star of the year Slammy Award 2020 – SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Street Profits.
The Profits gives a short and emotional acceptance speech. R-Truth then introduces the team of The Bump who will be handing out some other awards.

Top Moment of the Year – The Undertaker’s Final Farewell
Ken Joeng is there to present the award. The winner for Top Moment of the Year Slammy award 2020 is – The Undertaker‘s Final Farewell at Survivor Series. Taker is there for a recorded promo.
Michelle McCool appears to recall her win at 2010 Slammy Award.
Tag Team of the Year – The Street Profits
Clark Dude is there to present the awards. The winners of the Tag Team of the Year Slammy award 2020 are – The Street Profits. We cut to Profits again for an acceptance speech.
Best Match of the Year – AJ Styles vs The Undertaker Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36
Rico Rodriguez and Raini Rodriguez are there to present the award. The winner for the Match of the Year Slammy Award 2020 is – AJ Styles vs The Undertaker Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36.
AJ Styles accepts the award and he thanks WWE Universe and The Undertaker for the award.
Overall Superstar of the Year – Drew McIntyre
Ric Flair is there to present the award. The winner for the Overall Superstar of the Year Slammy Award 2020 is – Drew McIntyre.
