Dana White Greenlit Carla Esparza vs Rose Namajunas Title Rematch

UFC President, Dana White confirms that Carla Esparza will be next in line to face the UFC Strawweight Champion, Rose Namajunas. 

In a recent interview with ESPN, White stated Carla Esparza is next “100 percent.” Esparza failed to get a title shot earlier but now it has been confirmed that the promotion would give her a title opportunity in 2022.

Rose Namajunas successfully defended her title at UFC 268 against Zhang Weili. Namajunas also hinted at another bout against Esparza. She stated that she could fight anybody but nothing interests her other than Carla. 

Carla Esparza already had one victory against the current Champion, Rose Manajunas. The latter lost the match via submission back in 2014. 

However, when Esparza asked for a title opportunity, White turned her down. But now, the President is 100% sure she Esparza will be the next opponent of Namajunas. 

Dana White hasn’t revealed when this bout would take place. But, the promotion is reportedly eyeing an early 2022 date.
