After a frantic period where WWE hosted 4 major shows in 10 weeks period, 6 weeks have passed without one due to rescheduling of WWE’s Saudi Arabia show. Money in the Banks come at the time when TV ratings are at all-time low and fans are more upset than ever with the WWE creative. WWE has managed to prepare a solid card on the paper but the build-up to the show has also been chaotic and dismal, to say the least, with WWE still trying to figure out how to handle the Wildcard Rule. This might not necessarily mean that the show will be dismal. WWE has produced a good show many times despite facing similar times in the past. Hoping for the same, let’s go through match by match storylines and predictions for Money in the Bank 2019.

1. Tony Nese(c) vs Ariya Daivari – WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Storyline- After drawing the curtain on Buddy Murphy’s 6-month reign as the main man of 205 Live, Tony Nese has been unstoppable. He has since dispatched Drew Gulak and Ligero in single matches. Ariya Daivari became the no. 1 contender for the Championship by beating Oney Lorcan and has tried to get an edge over Nese. He only succeeded in his attempts last night with a surprise attack.

Prediction- If the history of the championship is anything to go by, Tony Nese is indispensable for now. Also, the way WWE has been building him up as the credible champion, it is again hard to see him lose here. Daivari has got a surprising push but so has many others in recent times to lose to the champion. Tony Nese wins here hands down.

2. Becky Lynch(c) vs Lacey Evans – WWE RAW Women’s Championship

Storyline- After doing nothing more than ramp walks for more than two months, Lacey Evans is getting a push. She started this feud by decking Becky and they have been involved in multiple brawls since then. Evans won the impromptu no. 1 contender’s match against Natalya to get this match. Becky, on the other hand, is also involved in the storyline with Charlotte for the SmackDown title. She has also maintained that she considers Evans as just another version of Charlotte and will handle her easily.

Prediction- It’s hard to see Becky lose to Evans this early in her Two Belts reign but then it’s also hard to see Lacey being buried. If this will be Becky’s second match of the night, it might end in a controversial manner with Becky retaining. If it goes first, a clean win for Becky.

3. Becky Lynch(c) vs Charlotte Flair – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship

Storyline- As Becky won the triple threat WrestleMania Main Event by pinning Ronda Rousey, Charlotte was quick to remind everyone that she was never pinned or submitted and hence does not deserve to lose the title. To get this match, she won an impressive match against Bayley. Since then, Becky and Charlotte have done nothing but fire shots at each other and some brawls here and there.

Prediction- While many are seeing this as Becky losing at least one belt, I am thinking WWE will put Becky on another pedestal by beating Charlotte clean. Despite many experts believing otherwise, she is still hot with fans like no other women in WWE ever had and I for one do not see her losing either of her titles yet. It may happen down the road but not at this show.
