Shinsuke Nakamura Cuts Promo: King of Strong Style is Back

Shinsuke Nakamura has released a promo before Royal Rumble 2021 match.

Shinsuke Nakamura King of Strong Style

In the video posted on Twitter, Nakamura mentioned how he was on the top of the business when he won Royal Rumble in 2018. But it was not his time, and he lost way in these three years.

“3 years ago, I was [at] the top of the mountain. First ever Japanese Royal Rumble winner. Everyone thought I would be champion. But it wasn’t my time.”

After speaking a bit in Japanese, where he mentioned United States, Intercontinental and Tag Team Titles, Nakamura said, he is still missing the World title. Nakamura then claimed that while he forgot who he was, the King of Strong Styles is Back.

Nakamura ended the promo by saying he is gonna win this year’s Royal Rumble and warned Roman Reigns that he is not the head of his table.

These three years, I did everything I could for my family.. for my career. I won lot of titles. But still [there is] something I miss.. The World title. I want the World title. I forgot why I am almost. But the King of Strong Style is back. I am back. I will win the Royal Rumble this year. Roman, you are not the head of my table.”

Nakamura’s WWE Achievements

Before coming to WWE, Shinsuke Nakamura was famous for his hard-hitting style in NJPW where he won the IWGP World Heavyweight Title 3 times, along with Intercontinental Championship 5 times.

The strong style continued in NXT as well where he was one of the fan-favorite and won the NXT Championship twice. Nakamura debuted on WWE SmackDown in April 2017 and was soon in the title picture. He won the 2018 Royal Rumble match and challenged AJ Styles for WWE Championship, only to lose to Styles at WrestleMania.

Nakamura has won the United States, Intercontinental and SmackDown Tag Team titles in the last three years. However, he has looked a pale version of the King of Strong Style that he was in NJPW.

Since the turn of this year, Nakamura has strung some good performances. He was the marathon man in the Universal Championship Contender Gauntlet match and was only beaten after interference from Roman Reigns and Jey Uso. This promo is another step in the process of presenting him as the star he is.

Nakamura Unlikely To Win Face Roman Reigns

In his promo, Nakamura claimed to win Royal Rumble this year and challenge the Universal Champion Roman Reigns. However, the recent reports suggest that Nakamura is unlikely to be Roman’s opponent for WrestleMania 37.

We all know that plans can change at a whim in WWE. So, keep following this space for the latest updates on Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 37.
