Mumbai Indian became the third team to win IPL twice when they won the title in 2015. after loosing first four matches in the group stage, they collected at wins in the next 10 matches to qualify for the play-offs. They once again defeated CSK in qualifier one & final to win the trophy.

Mumbai Indians on their first IPL title in 2013 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. they started the tournament poorly winning only one game from the first six. then they made comeback in the second half of the group stage to finish at no.2. after being defeated in the first qualifier by CSK they won the second qualifier against Rajasthan two gain their place in the final. In the final, they defeated CSK by 23 runs in a low-scoring match.

Kolkata Knight Riders qualified for the playoff for the first time ever in IPL in 2012. led by Goutam Gambhir, KKR defeated Delhi in the Qualifier one to reach the final. Then they chase down Chennai’s total of 190 runs in the final and became only the second team to win the final successfully in chasing.

After starting poorly in the group stage, CSK qualified for the semi-final after back-to-back wins in the last few group match. MS Dhoni-led side defeated Deccan Chargers in the semi-final before pulling off a shock win against Mumbai Indians in the final.
