AEW has announced that independent wrestler Dustin Thomas, a bilateral leg amputee, will feature in the Casino Battle Royal at Double or Nothing.
A video from Joey Janela Spring Break 3 event featuring Dustin Thomas became viral during the WrestleMania weekend. Due to being born a spinal issue, Dustin had to have both his legs amputated at the age of three. Despite this, he was seen performing moves like 619, springboard splash, etc to a good effect. Apparently, the video also caught the attention of AEW.
Cody Rhodes, executive vice president for AEW, appeared at Southern Honor Wrestling over the weekend and announced that Thomas would be competing in the 21-man Casino Battle Royale on May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Thomas spoke with AEW during an interview on this week’s The Road to Double or Nothing where Cody Rhodes also explained how the Battle Royal will work.
