Kofi Kingston has replaced an injured Mustafa Ali in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match.

Mustafa Ali is said to carrying a tailbone injury for last weeks and suffered a swollen eye on last week’s episode of SmackDown live. He did not work on the SmackDown live event on Monday amid the reports that he has suffered a concussion. He was officially pulled out of the match last night and cut a video promo.

On SmackDown, WWE announced that Mustafa Ali is to be replaced by a member from the New Day. That member turns out to be Kofi Kingston who has already taken part in 3 Elimination Chamber matches earlier. Kofi also took part in the Gauntlet match on SD with the winner to enter last in Elimination Chamber. Kofi lasted for 60 minutes in the match and eliminated Daniel Bryan, Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe to give an Iron man performance.

However, Randy Orton was the eventual winner of the Gaunlet match as he hit an RKO on AJ Styles out of nowhere to eliminate him. Styles had eliminated an exhausted Kofi Kingston when he forced him to submit with a Calf Crusher.
