WWE Crown Jewel: Zelina Vega Won the Inaugural Queen Crown’s Tournament
Zelina Vega defeated Doudrop at WWE Crown Jewel to win the first-ever Queen’s Crown tournament.
Zelina Vega entered this match as an underdog as Doudrop was the favorite to win the finals. However, Zelina proved everyone wrong by becoming the inaugural Queen.
There were several near falls in the match. In the ending moments of the match, Doudrop hit Vega with a swinging sidewalk slam. Then she hits a running senton but was unable to get a pin. In the end, Zelina Vega hits the Code Red to Doudrop to get the pinfall.
The inaugural Queen’s Crown Tournament was confirmed on SmackDown’s October 1 episode with the final taking place at the Crown Jewel event. 8 participants took part in a knockout format tournament.
Doudrop advanced to the final with a win over Natalya in the first round and then surprised everyone by defeating Shayna Baszler in the semifinal round. Zelina Vega first defeated Toni Storm and got better of Carmella in the semifinal match to set up the clash with Doudrop.
