Yolanda Adams set to perform ‘America the Beautiful’ at WrestleMania

Grammy awards winner, gospel singer Yolanda Adams will be performing ‘America the Beautiful’ to kick off the main show at WrestleMania on 7 April at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey.

Known as the “First Lady of Modern Gospel,” Adams has sold over 12 million albums worldwide and was the radio host of her own nationally syndicated morning gospel show “The Yolanda Adams Morning Show.” Named as the No. 1 Gospel Artist of the last decade, Adams has won five Grammy Awards, 16 Stellar Gospel Music Awards, four Gospel Music Association’s Dove Awards, one American Music Award, seven NAACP Image Awards, one Soul Train Music Award, and five BET Awards.

This is second musical performance announced for this year’s WrestleMania after Joan Jett was also announced to perform her song, “Bad Reputation” when Ronda Rousey will enter at the first ever Women’s Main Event at WrestleMania. The show will also feature the performances from the WWE superstar Elias.

The WrestleMania 35 Main show is scheduled to start at 7 PM ET after the two-hour pre-show. Till the time of writing, a total of 13 matches are announced for the show with at least two of them to be shifted to the preshow.
