A women’s trios match is now confirmed for WWE WrestleMania XL event which will see Damage CTRL’s Asuka, Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai facing Bianca Belair, Naomi & newly joined Jade Cargill.

Jade Cargill signed the contract to be a SmackDown talent during this week’s episode and warned everyone that a storm was coming to the blue brand. A glimpse of the warning played out after the main event match where Cargill single handely laid out the three members of Damage CTRL.

Bianca Belair defeated Dakota Kai in the main event match of SmackDown on March 29. This was followed by Asuka and Kairi Sane attacking Bianca before Naomi came out to help out her friend. Dakota Kai joined her Damage CTRL buddies to play the number’s advantage to take down Naomi.

This was when Cargill came out and hit all three of them with the Jaded one-by-one, standing tall with Bianca and Naomi to end the show. After the show, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis took to the social media to announce the trios match for WrestleMania 40.

The storyline for this match started playing out weeks ago. Naomi helped out Bayley against Damage CTRL on a few occasions. Bianca, despite not liking Bayley, got involved to help Naomi. Jade Cargill also had some backstage encounters with Damage CTRL and found the group not to her liking. In a promo this week, Dakota Kai called Cargill irrelevant and took shots at her for not doing anything since joining WWE.

The fourth member of Damage CTRL, WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky will also be in action at WrestleMania as she will face Bayley to defend her title. Bayley won the women’s Royal Rumble match and later chose to challenge her former stablemate. Keep tuned in for more updates.

  1. Looks like Kabuki Warriors are the only current champs who will not defend their titles at WM 40?? The cultural bias of Vince McMahon against his Japanese performers continues with Triple H and now SD GM, Nick Aldis! The latter actually admitted on Twitter his annoyance with KW and Damage Control was the reason for him booking DC vs. what I call the TBT (Token Black Trio)!!

Placating these over rated and untested Amazons over perhaps the GOAT female wrestler and entertainer in WWE history is nothing less than a disgrace! Asuka should have been put over last year to dethrone Bianca at WM 39, and now, the EST is again dictating the terms of a non-title match that will again preclude Asuka from having HER WM MOMENT!! WWE sucks!!
