Welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results blog for September 9, 2022 episode which will deal with the fallout from Clash at the Castle while starting to build towards Extreme Rules event.

Braun Strowman is announced to appear on the show after his explosive return on RAW earlier this week. As rumored, he is expected to be one of the top babyface on the brand going forward. How will this run start? Solo Sikoa will make his Smackdown debut after being called up to the main roster at Clash at the Castle. Roman Reigns is expected to away from the brand for sometime though.

Elsewhere, Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross’ rivalry is expected to pick up speed. Ronda Rousey might start to make towards Smackdown Women’s Championship. Will Gunther and Sheamus continue their feud? What’s next for the Viking Raiders?

  • Imperium(Gunther, Lugwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) defeated The Brawling Brutes(Sheamus, Ridge Holland & Butch) in a tag team match via pinfall.
  • Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah defeated Toxic Attraction(Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) in a tag team match via pinfall.
  • Ronda Rousey defeated Natalya, Xai Li, Sonya Deville & Lacey Evans in #1 Contender Fatal 5-Way Elimination match for SmackDown Women’s Championship via pinfall
  • The Street Profits(Angelo Dawkins) & Hit-Row(Top Dolla & Ashante Adonis) defeated Los Lotharios(Humberto & Angel) & Maximum Male Models(Mansoor & Mace) in a tag team match via pinfall.
  • Drew McIntyre defeated Solo Sikoa in a singles match via disqualification.

The Brawling Brutes(Sheamus, Ridge Holland & Butch) vs Imperium(Gunther, Lugwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci)

Two teams face off after making their respective entrances. Vinci and Holland start. Vinci hits a kick to back. He hits a springboard crossbody before Kaiser takes a blind tag. Kaiser hits a double stomp and a sliding uppercut. Vinci returns to hit an uppercut. Holland hits elbows and Butch comes in to hit a dropkick and suplex combo with him. More back and forth until Gunther and Sheamus tag in and the crowd goes hot as we cut to a break.

Holland and Kaiser are in the ring as we return. Holland hits a big slap to the chest. Kaiser trips him to drop him on the ropes. Vinci tags in to hit a double dropkick with Kaiser. Vinci hits a suplex. Gunther tags in and Holland blocks his suplex. Gunther resorts to hit a big chop before hitting a big boot on Sheamus to knock him off the apron. Holland drops Kaiser when he tags in.

Butch tags in and double knees on Vinci. He knocks off Kaiser and Gunther before hitting a German suplex and a stomp on the arm. Kaiser breaks his joint manipulation and gets the referee distracted. Gunther takes a cheap shot at him. Sheamus and Gunther fight on the floor. Butch gets back to the ring and Vinci drops him with a clothesline. We cut to a break.

Sheamus hits clotheslines on Kaiser and Vinci before hitting Beats of a Battering on Kaiser. Sheamus hits a rolling senton on Vinci, knocks off Gunther and hits White Noise on Kaiser on top of Vinci. Sheamus hits a Brogue kick on Vinci, but Kaiser is the legal man. Holland tags in and drops Kaiser with a big shot. Gunther breaks the pin. Sheamus comes in to trade shots with Gunther. All six men start to brawl. Sheamus drops Gunther with a knee on the floor. Holland hits a back body drop. Vinci hits a brainbuster on Butch. Kaiser tags in Vinci for a double-team Imperium bomb on Holland to get the pin.

Winner – Imperium

Solo Sikoa Joins The Bloodline

Sami Zayn and The Usos come out to the ring now. Sami tries to mimic The Usos in energy as he tries to get the crowd going. Jey takes over and says The Tribal Chief is still the Undisputed WWE Champion. He says Drew did not know how deep does the Bloodline is. They all join in to introduce Solo Sikoa. We get a short video package on Sikoa after his entrance.

Heavy boos from the crowd when Sikoa takes the mic. Sikoa says if one comes for his family, he comes for them – if you become a problem, he finishes you. They all pose for “We the Ones.” Drew McIntyre comes out with a steel chair. Everyone apart from Sikoa leaves the ring. Drew hits him with a steel chair from the floor. Sami Zayn saves Sikoa and takes a steel chair on his back. Sikoa is pulled out by the Usos. Sami also runs out as the Bloodline regroups on the ramp. Drew says he wants Sikoa. Sikoa accepts the challenge.

Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah vs Toxic Attraction(Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne)

Jayne and Raquel start the match. Jayne starts with a low kick. Raquel whsips her to the corner and drops her with a clothesline. Aliyah hits a crossbody after the tag. Jayne nails her with a punch. Aliyah hits a Thesz press from the second rope. Dolin tags in and kicks at Aliyah in corner. Dolin and Jayne double team in the corner with some quick moves. Gigi hits a big punch to ribs. Gigi hits a snapmare and a kick to back. Jayne comes in for more double team. Gigi with a headkick and Jayne hits a senton to get a two-count. Aliyah fights back from the corner and tags in Raquel.

Raquel tackles Gigi, and clotheslines Jayne and Gigi before hitting a German suplex on Gigi. A corkscrew elbow from Raquel gets her a two-count. Gigi hits a pump kick. Jayne tags in. Aliyah saves Raquel from double team by hitting a spear on Gigi. Raquel hits Jayne with a one-handed powerbomb to get the pin.

Winner – Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah

We get a video package on how Ronda Rousey attacked WWE Official Adam Pearce after their verbal altercation last week. The commentary team announces that an internal investigation is being conducted on the incident.

Ronda Rousey vs Natalya vs Xai Li vs Sonya Deville vs Lacey Evans – #1 Contender match for SmackDown Women’s Championship

Sonya jumps on Ronda’s back. Ronda takes her to the mat. Ronda kicks away Lacey. Natalya and Li send Ronda to the floor. Li tries to use the ropes for a pin. Natalya goes for the sharpshooter. Evans nails her with woman’s right. Sonya hits Evans with a running knee. Ronda comes in and puts Natalya in an armbar to get a tap out to eliminate her. Evans comes in and Ronda puts her also in armbar. Li breaks the armbar. Li and Ronda fight for a while before Evans intervenes. Sonya comes in and puts Li in a choke while Ronda puts Evans in armbar. Both Li and Evans tap out to get eliminated.

Ronda takes down Sonya with a double leg and unloads. She goes for Piper’s pit but Sonya counters and jumps on her back. Sonya puts on a Rear Naked Choke. Ronda drops on her back but Sonya hangs onto the choke. Ronda drops to the floor and slams Sonya into the barricade to break free. Back to the ring, Ronda hits Piper’s Pit and puts on ankle lock to get the submission from Sonya to get the win.

Winner – Ronda Rousey

The Usos and Solo Sikoa are backstage. The Usos hype up Solo for the match against Drew later tonight. Sami Zayn comes in and Solo Sikoa gives him props to save him from chair shot earlier. Jey Uso shrugs it off. Sami asks him what is his problem but Jimmy plays mediator. They decide that they will all be at ringside in the main event against Drew McIntyre.


Shayna Baszler catches up with Ronda Rousey and gives her props to win the match. Ronda brings up Baszler’s loss to Morgan last weekend and tells her to inform when she is ready to break bones again.

Los Lotharios(Humberto & Angel) & Maximum Male Models(Mansoor & Mace) vs The Street Profits(Angelo Dawkins) & Hit-Row(Top Dolla & Ashante Adonis)

Mansoor and Adonis start the match. Adonis hits at midsection and takes Mansoor to the corner. Quick tags from Adonis and team to keep Mansoor under control in the corner. Ford drops him with a big lariat. Street Profits and Hit-Row scare their off the apron and pose to take us to a break.

Mansoor has Adonis under control as we return. Mace tags in and drops Adonis again with double team. Mace hits a big shot. Los Lotharios tags in and continues to work on Adonis. Adonis avoids a suicide dive from Humberto, who catches his tag team partner Angel. Dawkins gets the tag and hits a clothesline on Humberto. He hits a corkscrew uppercut on Mansoor and a swinging neckbreaker on Mace. Angel is tossed to the outside and Adonis hits him with a senton. Humberto nails Ford with an enzuigiri.

Dawkins sends Humberto to the floor with a back body drop before hitting a suicide dive on all opponents. Top Dolla was also going for a dive but Maxxine gets in between. B-Fab and Maxxine argues and Max Dupri is caught with a shot from B-Fab. Mansoor tries to roll up Top Dolla but only gets a two-count. Top Dolla knocks off Mace from the apron and Adonis joins him to hit Heavy Hitter on Mansoor to get the win.

Winner – The Street Profits & Hit-Row

Alpha Academy come out and Chad Gable talk trash for the crowd. Heavy boos for Gable and Otis from the crowd. Gable asks for some respect as he has turned Otis into a monster. This was a queue for Braun Strowman to come out and attack them. Otis tries to fight for a while but Strowman tackles both Gable and Otis before finishing the segment with powerbombs on both men.

Drew McIntyre vs Solo Sikoa

Drew takes Solo to the corner and unloads with punches and kicks. Solo hits an uppercut after the referee pulls Drew back. Back and forth shots before Drew drops him with a clothesline. Drew hits Futureshock DDT. The Usos pull Solo out as he was going for the Claymore. We cut to a break.

Solo hits a Samoan drop as we return from the break. He keep Drew on the mat before working on him on the ropes. Jey takes a cheap shot at Drew as the referee was breaking Solo away from the ropes. Solo hits more shots before Drew hits him with chops. Solo hits a belly-to-belly suplex. Solo hits a hip attack in the corner. Drew explodes out of the corner with a clothesline, throws Solo around before a neckbreaker and a kip-up. Drew knocks Jey off the apron before Solo rolls him up for a two-count. Drew sends him to the floor before knocking off Jimmy. Sami is pulled into the ring and the distraction allows Solo to hit a superkick for a near fall.

Drew and Sikoa trade shtos in the middle. Drew hits Glasgow kiss. The Usos low-bridge Drew and bring him to the floor to unload with punches. The Street Profits run out to make the save. Sami Zayn joins The Usos in attack. Ford takes them out with a dive. Back in the ring, Drew hits a Claymore kick on Solo to knock him out to the floor. Karrion Kross appears in the ring and puts Drew in Kross Jacket. The referee calls for the DQ.

Winner – Drew McIntyre(via DQ)

Kross keeps the choke on. Drew tries to get to his feet but Kross is able to bring him down again. Drew keeps fighting on the mat until the screen turns black. The show goes off the air.
