WWE SmackDown June 22, 2024 was opened by CM Punk with a promo. Cody Rhodes confronted the new Head of the Table Solo Sikoa. The build-up for Money in the Bank 2024 continued with qualifiers for the ladder match. Check the complete results below.

We see a recap of Clash at the Castle event which ended with the footage of how CM Punk cost Drew McIntyre World Heavyweight Championship match against Damian Priest in Drew’s hometown.
CM Punk made his hometown entrance. He talked about the hometown pressure and brought up how he came out winning WWE Championship at Money in the Bank 2011 against John Cena. He added that Drew McIntyre could not take that pressure. He talked about how Drew prayed for bad thing to happen to him, so he prayed for the same for Drew and made it happen. Paul Heyman came out to the ring and hugged Punk, calling him his best friend. Heyman begged Punk to do him two favors. The first of which is to go away as quickly as he could as Solo Sikoa was pissed due to somebody calling Chicaga CM Punk’s town. Solo came out with Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa and he demanded that CM Punk acknowledge him. Punk took a shot at him before asking Heyman what was his second favor. Heyman replied it was to take him away. The Bloodline get ready to attack Punk, but Cody Rhodes ran out with baseball bat. He then challenged Solo for a one-on-one match later tonight.
Bianca Belair was in the Guerilla Position as he was heading out for her match. Jade Cargill came to meet her and talked about getting a rematch for Women’s Tag Titles. Belair agreed, but added that she needed to focus on her qualifier match.
Backstage, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens met Cody Rhodes and asked him if it was a good idea to take on Solo one-on-one. Cody said it probably was not, but Solo was not ready for this.
Chelsea Green defeated Michin Mia Yim and Bianca Belair in the women’s Money in the Bank qualifier. Bianca hit Michin with KOD but Chelsea threw Bianca out of the ring and pinned Michin herself to get the victory.
Bayley was watching this match from backstage. Blair Davenport came in and told her to be wary of her after she would win the Money in the Bank qualifier next week.
Backstage, Paul Heyman was tense as Solo Sikoa told him to give his message to Tongans that Randy Orton and Kevin Owens should not be ringside during his match against Cody tonight. Solo then added that Heyman should come to him to talk when he was done with this task. Heyman had his face in his hands.
Backstage, we saw DIY arguing with Grayson Waller over Austin Theory. Suddenly, we see the shutter behind them getting slammed a few times. The shutter opened and we saw Drew McIntyre had dropped CM Punk. Drew picked up Punk and took him to the stage. Nick Aldis ran out with some security and got into a shoving and swearing contest with Drew.
Carmelo Hayes defeated Randy Orton and Tama Tonga in a triple threat Money in the Bank qualifier. Orton was taken out of the match for the major part after Tama and Hayes doubled up on him. Orton returned to action in the final minutes. He hit Tama with a draping DDT and was getting ready for RKO when Tonga Loa came to ringside. Kevin Owens also came out to fight with Loa before Orton also threw Tama out. Hayes caught Orton with a roll-up for a pinfall.
We saw a recap of Wyatt Sicks arrival to RAW earlier this week.
LA Knight came out to the ring and called out Logan Paul. He said how he told Paul that he wanted the US title and Paul had not come to SmackDown still. Knight then brought up that he would face Logan and Santos Escobar next week in MITB qualifier. So, he planned on beating Logan next week, win MITB briefcase and then beat Logan to win the US title. Santos Escobar came out to the ring and took offense on Knight overlooking him. Knight replied that he had defeated him already. This led to Santos hitting Knight with a punch. Knight hit back with BFT. Knight took the mic again to take one final shot at Logan but he got attacked by Logan from behind. Logan hit Knight with a big punch to drop Knight.
Kevin Owens was attacked on the stage by Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. Randy Orton ran out with a steel chair to force the Tongans to back out. Owens decided to continue in the match despite a hurt leg, and asked Orton to make sure The Tongans do not interfere.
Andrade defeated Grayson Waller and Kevin Owens in triple threat Money in the Bank qualifier. Owens hit Andrade with a stunner but Waller pulled him out of the ring to stop the pinfall. Waller then looked for a rolling stunner but Andrade countered with a swinging neckbreaker to get the pin.
Backstage, Tiffany Stratton was mocking Michin for losing her qualifier match and claimed to win the qualifier herself next week. Michin ended up slamming her face into the locker but Nia Jax came from behind to throw Michin into the locker. Nia and Tiffany acknowledged each other as the segment ended.
Before Solo Sikoa was heading out to the ring for the match, Paul Heyman talked to him at the Gorilla position. He said Roman Reigns ensured him that CM Punk was off hands since he was very personal to him. Heyman also said that Solo was not supposed to deal with Cody. Solo told Heyman that he was telling this since he loved him. Solo said that Roman was not coming back.
Cody Rhodes defeated Solo Sikoa in a singles match via disqualification when Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa attacked him.
The Bloodline beat up Cody after the match. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens ran out and cleared Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa from the ring. Cody, Owens and Orton cornered Solo but he started laughing. Jacob Fatu attacked the trio from behind with superkicks. Cody fought back but Fatu was able to drop him on the apron with Urinage before putting Cody through the announce table with Usos Splash. The Bloodline ended the show posing in the ring.
