WWE SmackDown October 18: Rhodes & Jey Issue Tag Title Open Challenge
The Undisputed Tag Team Championship open challenge is set for October 13, 2023, episode of WWE SmackDown.
Cody Rhodes, in a tweet on his Twitter account, expressed that this week’s RAW and NXT episodes were fantastic. He suggested closing SmackDown with an open challenge match for Undisputed Tag Team title. In response, Jey Uso replied with the word “YEET.”

No team has accepted the open challenge yet, but we can accept a tag team to respond to it for the October 13th episode of SmackDown.
Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso won undisputed tag team titles at Fastlane 2023 PLE by defeating Damian Priest and Finn Balor. During the October 9 episode of RAW, Rhodes and Jey defended their titles against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Triple H and Roman Reigns are also scheduled for the show.
October 13, 2023, episode of SmackDown will be live from OK Center, Tulsa, OK, US. The show is also being promoted as the show’s season premiere. Below is the announced line-up for the show:
- Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson) vs Brawling Brutes (Butch and Ridge Holland)
- Roman Reigns Segment
- Triple H Segment
