WWE SmackDown Live Results & Updates- 17 April 2020

Deville rants at Rose for making Fire & Desire always about Rose only- coming out to Rose’s entrance, waved her magazine around, and everything else. Deville says the sad part is that Ziggler actually cares about Rose but she is now with Otis. Deville says she helped Ziggler with the relationship in exchange for Ziggler helping them to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania but it never happened because Rose ruined it. Sonya continues to rant on Mandy being selfish and not caring about her.

Ziggler comes out now and says they did the wrong thing but Mandy can’t fake what happened between them. He will do whatever it takes to make it up. Ziggler goes to touch her but she pushes him off. Deville decks Rose with a forearm out of nowhere. Ziggler is shocked and tries to stop Sonya. Otis’ music hits and he comes out to rock Ziggler right away. Deville jumps on Otis’ back and goes for his eyes. Rose pulls her off. Ziggler and Deville retreat on the ramp. Otis checks on Rose and Ziggler tries to attack him again. Otis slams him and hits the Caterpillar elbow drop. Otis and Rose stand in the ring and pose.

Daniel Bryan vs Cesaro – Money in the Bank Qualifier

Shinsuke Nakamura comes out with Cesaro as he enters. Daniel Bryan is out now with Drew Gulak. Cesaro takes Bryan down with a shoulder tackle. Bryan takes down Cesaro, sends him out of the ring and hits a plancha. The screen flickers and it is the mystery man who revealed the truth about Mandy-Otis saga. He is going to make another revelation tonight it seems. But we cut to the break before we could get anything.

Back from the break, Bryan is keeping Cesaro on the ground with an armlock/stretch move. Cesaro gets up but Bryan takes him into an armbar when he goes for the arm drag. Cesaro uses his power to slam Bryan into the mat from the same position. Cesaro slams Bryan once more before a scoop slam. Bryan works on Cesaro’s arm some more and goes for the crossbody off the top. Cesaro catches him and puts him in the sharpshooter right away. Bryan goes out of the ring for a breather and Cesaro runs him over with a European uppercut.

Cesaro hits a few more European uppercuts as we return. He goes for the backslide but Daniel puts him in an armbar again. Cesaro picks him up but Bryan grabs his leg now. Bryan starts hitting the Yes! kicks now, aiming at Cesaro’s arm. The last kick connects on the head and Bryan gets a near fall. Bryan with some more strikes before Cesaro picks him up and drops him on his knees for a two-count.

Cesaro puts Bryan in the crossface. Bryan rolls over to reverse it into a crossface of his own. They trade pin attempts before Cesaro runs Bryan over with a clothesline. Cesaro with more strikes in the corner. He picks up Bryan but Bryan counters to put him in the Yes! lock. Cesaro is locked in for good and Nakamura tries to interfere. Gulak takes care of Nakamura. Cesaro gives up and Bryan has qualified for the Money in the Bank.

Winner- Daniel Bryan(qualifies for Money in the Bank match)

Backstage, Elias was about to come out but Corbin attacks him from behind. Corbin destroys Elias before crashing him into some equipment. Corbin keeps shouting at him that he is nobody. He picks Elias and his guitar and heads to somewhere. After the break, Corbin unloads on Elias a bit more. He asks Elias to sing a song now and rams Elias’ hand with his scepter. He beats up Elias a bit more before breaking his guitar over his back.

The Miz vs Big E vs Jey Uso – Triple Threat Match, WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship

Big E takes control early on in the match. He has both men down at ringside now and takes the announce table apart. Miz and Jey rocks him with big kicks. They team up for a double suplex, slamming Big E through the announce table. We go to the break.

Back from the break and Uso hits a Samoan Drop on Miz in the middle of the ring, then sends him out to the floor. Big E gets up on the outside but Uso nails a suicide dive. Uso runs back in and hits a dive on Miz on the other side of the ring. Uso brings Miz back in and hits a big crossbody for a close 2 count. Uso with Rikishi splashes to both opponents in the corners. Uso charges but Big E catches him with the Uranage. Miz takes out Big E in the corner.

Miz goes for a Skull Crushing Finale on Big E but Uso superkicks him, then superkicks Big E. Uso covers Big E for the 2 count. Miz rolls Uso up for a 2 count out of nowhere. Uso and Miz go back and forth now. Uso blocks a Figure Four, kicking Miz into Big E to send him off the apron to the floor. Miz hits a Skull Crushing Finale for a close two-count. Miz goes right into the Figure Four. Miz tightens the hold and bridges it as Uso tries to fight out. Big E runs in, breaks the hold and hits Big Ending on the Miz for the pin and the win.

Winner- Big E for The New Day(New SmackDown Tag Team Champions)

After the match, Big E celebrates in the ring. We see a video from Kofi Kingston celebrating at his home. We also see video of Xavier Woods celebrating at home now. The show goes off the air with Big E being Big E in the ring.
