Roman Reigns retained his Undiputed Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2024 PLE by defeating LA Knight, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton.

The match kicked off with three challengers targeting Reigns. Orton seized control, slamming Knight and Styles onto the announcer’s table and throwing Reigns onto the steel steps. Knight mounted a comeback, taking down Reigns and Styles. Reigns responded with a flying clothesline.

Knight displayed athleticism, executing a bulldog on Orton and surprising Styles with a superplex. Styles regained momentum, delivering a Styles Clash to Reigns, but Knight interfered with the pin. The pivotal moment occurred when Orton countered Styles with an RKO, followed by hitting Knight with another RKO. Orton reversed Reigns’ Superman punch and delivered an RKO to Roman too.

Orton seemed poised for victory, but Solo Sikoa intervened by taking down the referee. AJ Styles then countered Sikoa’s move, delivering a Phenomenal Forearm to Reigns. All three superstars were down, but they were kicked out.

In the match’s conclusion, Knight appeared ready to seal the win, but Reigns pushed him into AJ on the ropes before hitting a Superman punch and then delivering a spear to Styles for the victory. Roman Reigns has been reigning as the champion for an impressive 1245 days now.

Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and LA Knight all had unresolved issues with Roman Reigns and the Bloodline. On January 5 episode of SmackDown, a triple threat match was scheduled to determine who would face Reigns in a one-on-one bout. However, Reigns and his cousins intervened during the match, leading to a disqualification.

Subsequently, Nick Aldis informed Paul Heyman that a fatal 4-Way match had been set for the Royal Rumble 2024 PLE. LA Knight had previously challenged Roman Reigns for Undisputed Universal Championship at Crown Jewel 2023 PLE, but unfortunately, Knight was unsuccessful in capturing the title.

AJ Styles’ feud began when Jimmy and Solo Sikoa attacked him backstage, resulting in his absence for several weeks. The longstanding feud between Randy Orton and Roman Reigns traces back to the Bloodline’s involvement, which played a role in Orton’s back injury, forcing him to be absent for several months. Orton eventually made his comeback at Survivor Series 2023 PLE.
