WWE Royal Rumble 2022 Date & Location Announced, Register for Tickets

WWE Royal Rumble 2021

WWE has announced the date and location for WWE Royal Rumble 2022 PPV.

It has been heavily reported that WWE was looking to shift Royal Rumble to February instead of its usual late January date. However, those speculations are put to rest with the announcement from WWE.

St. Louis Dispatch first reported that Royal Rumble will take place at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, MS. The event will take place on Saturday, January 29, 2022. The Dome, with around 80,000 capacity, will become the largest arena to hold Royal Rumble to date in its 30 years history. However, only 40,000 fans are expected to attend the event as per St. Louis Dispatch.

The stadium used to be the home for NFL’s St. Louis Rams until 2015 and has served as the home venue for XFL’s St. Louis Battlehawks.

Royal Rumble is WWE’s first big PPV of the year 2022 and will feature 30 men Royal Rumble and 30 women Royal Rumble matches. The winners of both matches will get a world title shot of their choosing at WrestleMania 38. WrestleMania 38 will take place on April 3, 2022, at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

The decision to hold the Royal Rumble on Saturday comes after the grand success of SummerSlam this year that also took place on Saturday, 21 August at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.

Apart from being one of the biggest, Royal Rumble is one of the most exciting PPV events of WWE as it always comes up with a lot of surprises. A lot of iconic returns and debuts took place at this PPV, and the same can be expected to happen this year as well.

WWE has also announced that fans can register for ticket sales in prior via this link.
