WWE Releases 2025: List of Stars & Names Released from Contract
WWE wrestlers releases several fighters from their contract time-to-time who are deemed surplus to requirement or are not progressing as much as the promotion would have liked. However, there are also several outlier cases where the fighters choose not to renew their contracts with WWE. Check below for the complete list of wrestlers who were either released by WWE in 2025, or they left WWE after their contract expired.
Releases
- January 2025: Duke Hudson – released since he was not deemed a “Main Roster Guy” despite being 34 years of age. Greg Miller – released after the show he hosted was not renewed.
- February 2025: Cedric Alexander, Akam, Rezar, Paul Ellering, Blair Davenport, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Giovanni Vinci, Isla Dawn, Elektra Lopez – Due to lack of creative and performance issues

- February 2025: Sonya Deville, Carmella
