Welcome to the Live Results blog for WWE RAW October 3, 2022 episode from Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN. The show is going to be the go-home episode for Extreme Rules 2022 event.

Bitter rivals Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle will come face to face in the ring for a promo segment with No Contact Clause in place. Daniel Cormier is announced as the referee for their match at Extreme Rules. Expect more to hear on this topic. Another set of opponents in WWE RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and Bayley will also be in the ring, but they will sign contract for their Ladder match at the show.

AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio will team up to take on Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest. Alpha Academy will be in action in different singles matches. Chad Gable will face a monumental challenge in the form of Braun Strowman. Otis will take on Johnny Gargano. Also, Candice Le Rae will face Dakota Kai in a singles match.

Judgment Day Rises!

Judgment Day – Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio make their entrance to open the show. We see the recap of Edge challenging Finn Balor for an “I Quit” match last week. Balor now takes the mic and starts to talk about Edge fighting back from his injury and returning to the ring after 11 years gap. Balor says one can only run from fate for so long. And at Extreme Rules, he will act as cruel hand of fate and show him that he does not belong anywhere near him in the ring. Balor says he will beat up Edge so bad that he does have to say the word “I Quit.”

Priest takes the mic now and says Judgment Day will always rise and they will take over AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio tonight. Rhea Ripley says something in Dominik’s ears before he takes the mic. Dominik replies to “Who is your Daddy?” chants by saying that he hates Rey Mysterio, and he has a new family. Balor says he could have ended AJ’s career last week, but he did not do so since AJ is his friend. Balor says the Olive branch is still extended for AJ to join Judgment Day.

AJ Styles’ entrance cut them off. Rey Mysterio follows suit. They get into the ring to start a brawl with Balor and Priest. Dominik pulls out Balor to save him, but Rey hits Balor with a hurricanrana. AJ clotheslines Priest to the floor. We cut to a break as AJ and Rey stand tall.

Judgment Day(Finn Balor & Damian Priest) vs AJ Styles & Rey Mysterio

Rey connects with a kick on Balor from the apron and then hits a seated senton. Balor tags in Priest. Priest cuts off Rey’s springboard move with a shot. Priest whips Rey to the corner and hits a jumping back elbow. Balor comes back to hit three amigos. Balor then throws Mysterio to the floor, sliding him all the way. Priest tags in and drops Rey face first on the apron. Balor tags back and stomps on Rey near the ropes. Balor puts on a chin lock now. Rey hits a jawbreaker and a bulldog on Balor. Styles gets the hot tag against Priest and unloads with a flurry of strikes. He stops Balor from getting into the ring before a Pele kick on Priest. Priest pushes AJ to the floor as we cut to a break.

Balor tags in Priest to hit a leg drop on Styles as we return. Priest puts on a leg crucifix to stretch Styles’ shoulder. AJ reverses it for a pin attempt. Priest stops a calf crusher with a big forearm. Styles hits an enzuigiri now. He hits a double DDT and looks for a tag out. However, Dominik has distracted Rey by that time on the floor. Rhea runs over Rey with a clothesline on the floor. Balor hits Styles with a shotgun dropkick and Coupe de Grace to get the pin.

Winner – Judgment Day

After the match, Rey Mysterio gets back to the ring and check on AJ. AJ snaps at Rey and pushes him away. Rey leaves AJ alone in the ring and goes to the back. Judgment Day attack AJ and Priest drops him for good with South of Heaven Chokeslam.


Earlier today, Kevin Patrick catches up with WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley as he was getting into the building. Patrick asked Lashley about 3 months title reign. Lashley says it does not matter whether it is 3 days or 3 months, he would not get complacent. Mustafa Ali comes in and says he is tired of waiting in line and gets angry at Lashley. Lashley agrees to defend his title against Ali.


Sami Zayn is telling Jimmy Uso something funny and they continue to laugh. Solo Sikoa is standing beside them with stoic expressions. Jey Uso comes in and tell them to focus on Roman Reigns’ arrival to RAW next week. Sami says they should send message everyone on RAW to acknowledge Roman. The Street Profits come in and Sami tells them they need to be ready to acknowledge The Bloodline. Ford talks trash about Roman. Dawkins comes to his defense and Solo Sikoa challenges him for a match.

Bobby Lashley(c) vs Mustafa Ali – WWE United States Championship

Lashley tackles Ali to the corner. He throws Ali from corner to corner with a belly to belly suplex. He hits a running tackle before hitting a delayed vertical suplex. Ali cuts off a charge with a knee. Ali hits a thrust kick and a tornado DDT. Lashley slips to the floor and Ali hits him with a suicide dive. Lashley throws him back to the ring and Ali catches him on the apron with a kick. Lashley pulls Ali out to the floor again and drops him with a clothesline. We cut to a break.

Lashley slams Ali to the corner a couple of time before driving him face first to the mat. Ali fights back on the top rope. He pushes Lashley to the floor and hits a 450-splash on Lashley’s arm. Ali hits a dropkick. Lashley comes back with a spinebuster for a close two-count. Lashley hits another spinebuster to get another two-count.

Lashley picks him up and tells Ali that he should have stayed down. Ali slaps him, making him angrier. Lashley throws Ali to the floor and drives him into the ring post a few times. Lashley breaks the referee’s count before throwing Ali into the timekeeper’s area. Lashley gets back to the ring and the referee starts to count Ali down. Ali barely beats the count. Lashley hits him with a spear and then puts on the Hurt Lock. Ali refuses to tap out but gets put to sleep shortly afterward.

Winner – Bobby Lashley

After the match, Lashley was going to give props to Ali for his performance when Rollins attacks him from behind. Rollins hits Lashley with a stomp. Rollins follows up with another stomp on Lashley in the ring. Rollins gets out of the ring and then hits Ali with a stomp on the floor.


Rollins and Riddle Face to Face

Rollins is in the ring after the break and welcomes us to Monday Night Rollins. Rollins talks about his match against Matt Riddle at Extreme Rules this week and says the Fight Pit match will become synonymous with him. He sends us to a video package to introduce Fight Pit and their rivalry. Rollins says the things that he is going to do to Riddle will show everyone that he is the most dangerous man in this industry. He calls Matt Riddle to come out so that they can have their face to face.

Riddle comes out. Rollins introduces him as his victim on Saturday. Riddle asks Rollins why is he calling himself King of Fight Pit when he has never been inside the Fight Pit. Riddle says he will not only beat up Seth, but he will kill Riddle inside the Fight Pit and Daniel Cormier will have pull him away. Riddle says the fans will sing “Brooo.” Rollins says Cormier is his fan and he will be on his side.

Rollins takes verbal shots at Riddle and says child support is expensive these days. Riddle replies by asking when was the last time he held a title, and when did he main event WrestleMania? Riddle says Rollins has come second to Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch throughout his career. Rollins and Riddle get into each others’ face.

UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier appear on the big screen and cut a promo introducing himself. He talks about his history with Riddle in UFC and how Rollins is one of his favorite wrestlers. He says he will oversee the Fight Pit match and make sure everything goes right.


Candice Le Rae is walking backstage when she gets some words of encouragement from WWE RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa Bliss. Another QR code appears on the screen.


After the break, we see Miz backstage. He is talking to Maryse on phone about his birthday bash next week. He is still worried about Dexter Lumis ruining it. Lumis was about to grab Miz again when a crew member comes in to interrupt Miz. Miz leaves and Lumis is left hiding behind the door.

Candice Le Rae vs Dakota Kai

They start with some counters. Candice hits an armdrag. Dakota fights her off and slams her into the corner. Candice comes back with some quick offense which includes a bull dog and a dropkick. Candice slams Dakota into the ring post from the outside. Candice hits a dropkick from in between the ropes. She hits a crossbody on the floor to take us to a break.

Candice hits a back elbow as we return. Dakota hits her with a big boot. She hits her on the face a few more times. Dakota hits a Scorpion kick next. Candice cuts her off with a kick from the corner. Le Rae throws her hands at Dakota before hitting a backsplash in the corner. She hits a senton on Dakota’s back to get a two-count.

Candice goes for submission and Dakota breaks it by slamming her into the corner. Candice hits a back elbow. Dakota hits a big boot as Candice was trying to get to the top. Candice fights back off the top but Dakota stops the powerbomb. Candice slams her face on the turnbuckle and hits her with a German suplex. Iyo Sky distracts the referee and Bayley trips Candice on the ropes. Dakota rolls her up to get the pin.

Winner – Dakota Kai

Johnny Gargano is backstage and he finds The Miz passed out on a production crate. Gargano wakes up Miz and there is a picture of Lumis and Miz sitting on top of Miz. Miz runs away watching this.


Back from commercial, Bayley is interviewed backstage and asked about Dakota defeating Candice. Bayley wonders why world is just waking up to Kai and Sky when she has got them as her weapons all along for a reason.

Johnny Gargano vs Otis

A back-and-forth start before Otis slams Gargano into the corner. Gargano runs the ropes and tackles Otis to the ropes. Otis bounces off the ropes and hits a spinning back fist to drop Gargano. Otis slows down the match as he continues to work on Gargano. Otis puts on a backbreaker submission. Gargano hits a couple of punches to break free. He cuts off Otis’ charge with a boot. Gargano hits a few punches but Otis does not get affected much. An enzuigiri from Gargano staggers him. Otis hits an overhead suplex.

Gargano avoids a Vader bomb and hits a few kicks. Otis runs him over with a clothesline. Gargano counters a body slam with a DDT. Gargano hits a superkick, but Otis kicks out. Gargano hits a suicide dive as Otis moves to the floor. Gargano attacks Austin Theory who is on commentary. Gargano hits a tornado DDT on Otis on the floor. Theory hits Gargano with his MITB briefcase as Chad Gable distracts the referee. Otis hits a powerslam on Gargano in the ring to get the pin.

Winner – Otis

After the match, Theory and Alpha Academy attack Gargano. Braun Strowman comes out to make the save. He tackles Otis on the floor. Gable and Theory try to run away. Strowman picks Gable up and throws him into the ring.

Braun Strowman vs Chad Gable

The bell rings and Strowman throws Gable onto Otis on the floor. We cut to a break.

As we return, Strowman is recovering after being put through the announce table. Gable kicks him into the ring post. We see a replay of Otis throwing Strowman into the announce table during the break. Otis is sent to the back by the referee after that. Strowman gets into the ring and Gable stomps on him. Strowman tries to fight back but Gable hits him with a bridging German suplex to get a two-count. Gable talks trash as he slaps Strowman across the face a few times. Strowman grabs his neck and puts him on the top rope. Gable puts on an arm triangle using the ropes. Gable takes a cheap shot after Strowman pulls him back to the ring. Gable hits a dropkick. He misses a senton and Strowman runs him over with a big boot. Strowman hits a powerbomb to get the pin.

Winner – Braun Strowman

Lashley is in the trainer’s room after being check by the medical team. Kevin Patrick comes in and asks him how he is feeling. Lashley says he will crush Rollins’ throat so that he will not have hear his cackle again. Lashley says he wants Rollins next week and he is ready to put his title on the line.

Bianca & Bayley Contract Signing

Corey Graves is in the ring to officiate the countract signing for Raw Women’s Championship match at Extreme Rules. Bayley comes out first and Bianca Belair follows her out shortly afterward. Bayley asks Bianca if she is feeling safe as her friends are not here. Bayley signs the contract first and starts talking about why she put up Ladder match stipulation.

Bayley says the ladder is symbolic of her journey in WWE. She has to climb step by step to become a champion. And during that journey, she used to be like Bianca – all colours, headbands on and signing shirts for children. Bayley goes on a rant how fans turned on her. Bianca shuts her up and signs the contract. Bianca says Bayley has got a chip on her shoulder that has nothing to do with her. Bianca wonders it must be very hard for Bayley to see someone get everything she wants. Bianca adds that things did not work for her as Bayley was trying to be someone others than what she truly was.

Bianca says this is her real authentic self and that is the reason the fans connect to her. Bianca says Bayley didn’t evolve, but just became the real version of herself, showing everyone her true colors. Bayley asks Bianca what her friends are doing. The camera cuts to backstage where Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky are beating up Asuka and Alexa Bliss. Bayley also attacks Bianca to take advantage of distraction. Bianca turns it around and sends Bayley into the LED on the apron. Bianca runs to the back, but Kai and Sky are gone. Alexa Bliss looks into the camera and tells Sky that they will face off in the ring tonight.

Solo Sikoa vs Angelo Dawkins

They lock up and Solo takes Dawkins to the corner. Dawkins unloads out of the corner with punches. Solo nails him with a big shot to halt his attack. Some back and forth action continues. Dawkins hits a dropkick on Solo. Solo moves to the floor to regroup. Dawkins hits him with a punch on the apron. Solo gets angrier and picks up a chair. Sami Zayn and The Usos calm him down as we cut to a break.

Solo is under control as we return. He hits a Samoan Drop when Dawkins tries to fight back. More punches from Solo before he hits another Samoan drop to get a two-count. Solo puts on a Vice grip on Dawkins’ shoulder now. Dawkins gets to his feet but Solo hits him with a belly-to-belly suplex. Solo hits a hip attack in the corner. Dawkins comes back with a step-up enzuigiri. Dawkins hits clotheslines before Solo hits him with a headbutt. Dawkins hits a flying back elbow and a spinning elbow in the corner. Dawkins hits a spinning neckbreaker to get a near fall.

Sami Zayn distracts the referee. Jey Uso also get to the apron and starts arguing with Sami. Solo nails Dawkins with a superkick but the referee was distracted by Jey and Sami. Dawkins rolls up Solo while he was talking to Sami and Jey. Dawkins sends Solo to the floor. Sami tries to talk to Solo, but Jey gets into again. Dawkins hits The Usos and Sami with a suicide dive. Sami distracts Dawkins again and Solo catches him with a Samoan drop when he returns to the ring. Solo hits the Spinning Solo to get the pin.

Winner – Solo Sikoa

Backstage, Austin Theory is praising Otis and Chad Gable. Gable is not in a good condition. Theory says next week he will go one on one against Johnny Gargano.


Edge cuts a pre-recorded promo backstage. He says the veil of character has been dropped since he returned. He says it was difficult to fight when he was 46, and it has only gotten harder. He loves this, but it is also taking a toll on his entire family, and it is harder for him to see it. But, he is stubborn and selfish but one need to be like that to succeed at his level in this business. He has gotta give Judgment Day credit, they’ve made it more difficult. No matter how many times he beats them, they get back up, and it’s getting harder for him to put his pieces back together.

Edge then talks about Judgment Day and says it is his fault that faction even exists. He knows he has to be a one man gang, and there is no way he will be made to say “I Quit”. He understands Rey Mysterio does not want to deal with this due to Dominik, but he has to do his job.

Alexa Bliss vs Iyo Sky

Iyo starts with a dropkick. She follows up with a knee. Bliss fires back with punches and tackles Iyo. She continues to unload with quick shots. Iyo attacks her knee to halt her momentum. Bliss hits a pump kick to drop her again. Bliss stomps on her near the ropes. She hits a suplex. Sky counters by putting her into the ropes. Sky drops Bliss with a kick on the floor. We cut to a break.

Bliss hits a couple of tackles as we return. She trips Sky with Russian Leg Sweep to get a two-count. Sky hits a boot before hitting a double underhook backbreaker. Sky hits a double stomp but she misses a moonsault from the top. Bliss hits a DDT before hitting Twisted Bliss. Bayley distracts the referee to stop him from counting for the pin. Bianca Belair goes to attack Bayley but Dakota helps Bayley to send her into the steel steps. Bliss hits Bayley and Dakota with a dive on the floor. Sky takes advantage by hitting Air Raid Crash. Sky hits a moonsault from the top to get the pin.

Winner – Iyo Sky

After the match, Bayley and Dakota celebrate with Sky. They attack Bliss. Bianca comes into the ring and attacks Bayley. Dakota and Sky bring out a ladder and run over Bianca with it. Asuka hobbles as she comes out with a kendo stick. Sky hits a basement slide on Asuka. Asuka comes into the ring but Dakota and Sky drop a ladder on her feet. They trap Alexa in between the ladder and kick at the ladder. They attack Bianca now. Bayley hits her with Roseplant. Bayley hits Roseplant on Alexa also. Damage Control pose on the ladder to close the show.
