WWE RAW Results May 13, 2024, Updates- King & Queen Quarters

WWE RAW May 13, 2024 episode saw the continuation of King & Queen of the Ring 2024 tournaments. Gunther faced Kofi Kingston while Jey Uso took on Ilja Dragunov in the quarterfinals of King of the Ring tournament. Queen of the Ring quarterfinals saw Lyra Valkyrie face Zoey Stark, and Iyo Sky taking on Shayna Baszler.

RESULTS & UPDATES

Drew McIntyre opened RAW by coming out to the ring. He continued his rant against CM Punk and pointed out how Punk called him out after seeing that he had already left the arena. He continued to rant for a while and added his frustrations over Jey Uso being the one to replace him in King of the Ring. World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest came out and mocked Drew for his frustrations and how he lost the title at WrestleMania after the MITB cash in. He told McIntyre that he would give him a title shot once he get cleared.

Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler were shown entering the arena ahead of their quarterfinal matches tonight. They got into a confrontation with Damage CTRL backstage.

Iyo Sky defeated Shayna Baszler in the quarterfinal of Queen of the Ring 2024 tournament. Shayna caught Sky with a quick attack from behind to start the match. Iyo made her way into the match with smart manuevers all around. Baszler targetted Sky’s arm during the match. Sky reversed Kirifuda Clutch before Shayna hit a running knee. Sky hit Meteora and Over the Moonsault to get the pinfall win.

Carlito was with Judgment Day backstage as he continued to convince Damian Priest to be with the group. He asked Priest to trust him as the group needed muscle with Dominik injured. Priest told him that his group could work with him, but he was not going to.

Chad Gable told his Alpha Academy teammates to win their respective matches tonight. He warned Akira Tozawa not to dance at all. Ivy Nile came to talk to Maxxine Dupri. Gable made Dupri leave and told Nile to focus on herself and not to waste time Taylor “not so” Swift.

Kofi Kingston was interviewed backstage where he talked about Gunther injuring Xavier Woods and his desire for a revenge. He also brought up how he defeated his idol Rey Mysterio in the first round of the tournament.

Back in the ring, Samantha Irvin introduced Lillian Garcia. Garcia praised Samantha for her work before they embraced. Samantha asked her to make announcement for the next match.

World Tag Team Champions Awesome Truth were backstage with RAW Manager Adam Pearce who informed them that he was booking a #1 contender match for the titles. Kiana James came in to talk to Pearce.

Gunther defeated Kofi Kingston in the quarterfinal match of King of the Ring 2024 tournament. Kofi caught him with a suicide dive during his entrance. Kofi kept up with the attack and controlled the first half before Gunther made a comeback on the floor. Gunther put Kofi in a Boston Crab on top of the announce table. Kofi hit Trouble in Paradise on the floor, but Gunther countered in the ring to hit a powerbomb to get a near fall. He quickly turned the pin to a Boston Crab to get a submission.

Backstage, Lyra Valkyria was interviewed when Becky Lynch came in and thanked her for having her back. Becky left the frame searching for something. Liv Morgan then interruptted Lyra and asked her Becky had always been such a bitch. Becky was standing behind Liv at this point. Liv turned around to eat a punch from Becky.

Karrion Kross caught up with Kofi Kingston when Kofi was limping backstage. Kross told him that thing could turn around anytime. Xavier Woods came in with ice for Kofi.

Bronson Reed defeated Akira Tozawa in a singles match. Tozawa started the match with some good offense and took Reed down. Chad Gable kept shouting instructions from the floor. He stopped Tozawa from doing his dance. Tozawa went for a crossbody from the top which got caught. Reed finished the match with a Death Valley Driver and Tsunami to get a pinfall.

Cathy Kelley tried to interview Gunther backstage but he walked past her. Ludwig Kaiser talked to her instead and scolded her to disturb Gunther while he was recuprating from his match. He talked about Sheamus and claimed to put him out of his misery.

New Catch Republic caught up with Adam Pearce backstage before Pearce announced a fatal 4-way tag team match for the #1 contender for tag team titles.

We see Bron Breakker complaining about not being in the King of the Ring tournament and how the competitors in the tournament pale in comparison to him.

Lyra Valkyria defeated Zoey Stark in the quarterfinals of Queen of the Ring tournament. After a back and forth match, Lyra blocked Z-360 before hitting Nightwing to get the pinfall.

We got a video package for Jey Uso vs Ilja Dragunov match later tonight. Jey was backstage to hype the match.

Sami Zayn defeated Otis in a singles match. Sami started strong but Otis took control quickly with his size advantage. He was looking for The Worm but Chad Gable stopped him from doing the move. Otis hit the Worm anyway which agitated Gable more who told him to hit Vader Bomb. The delay allowed Sami to dodge Vader Bomb and hit Helluva Kick to get the pinfall.

Backstage, Braun Strowman was talking to The Diamond Mine. JD McDonagh came in and warned Strowman to be away from Judgment Day business.

Becky Lynch defeated Dakota Kai in a singles match via disqualification. Becky had Dakota in a Dis-Arm-Her when Dakota’s Damage CTRL buddies attacked Becky to cause the DQ.

Damage CTRL continued to beat up Becky until Lyra Valkyrie ran out to help her out. Iyo Sky and Lyra Valkyrie came face-to-face during the brawl. Liv Morgan came in from behind and sent Becky into the ring post.

Ilja Dragunov got interviewed backstage about King of the Ring tournament. Gunther came in and stood beside him for a face-off.

The Judgment Day defeated New Catch Republic, The Creed Brothers and Authors Of Pain in a fatal 4-way tag team match to become #1 contender for World Tag Team Championship. Carlito helped McDonagh by saving him from Pete Dunne. Balor then hit Tyler Bate with Coupe de Grace to get the win.

Ricochet came to wish good luck to Ilja Dragunov.

Judgment Day were celebrating their win with Carlito backstage when Damian Priest walked in and warmed up to Carlito a bit before telling him to take care of Rey Mysterio problem.

Jey Uso defeated Ilja Dragunov in the quarterfinal of King of the Ring tournament.
