Welcome to live blog for another anticipated episode of WWE RAW on December 5, 2022, which will be airing from Capitol One Arena in Washington DC.

The match for undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship between The Usos and Matt Riddle & Elias is announced for the show. Additionally, JBL will host a high-stakes Poker Tournament backstage on the show.

Additionally, it is expected that the storyline between Seth Rollins and Austin Theory will continue and so will between Becky Lynch and Damage CTRL. Will we see a new challenger for Bianca Belair for RAW Women’s Championship? And will anyone else announced for Royal Rumble matches?

RESULTS

  • The Usos(Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso)(c) defeated Matt Riddle & Kevin Owens in a tag team match via pinfall to retain Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.
  • Bayley defeated Asuka & Rhea Ripley in a triple threat match via pinfall to advance to #1 Contender Match for WWE RAW Women’s Championship.
  • Austin Theory(c) defeated Mustafa Ali in a singles match via disqualification to retain WWE United States Championship.
  • The OC(AJ Styles, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) defeated Baron Corbin & Alpha Academy(Otis & Chad Gable) in a tag team match via pinfall.
  • Dominik Mysterio defeated Akira Tozawa in a singles match via pinfall.
  • Alexa Bliss defeated Nikki Cross & Becky Lynch in a triple threat match via pinfall to advance to #1 Contender Match for WWE RAW Women’s Championship.

LIVE UPDATES

New Partner For Riddle

The Usos come out to open the show with Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa. We cut to a flashback from earlier tonight where The Bloodline got spooked by Riddle running past them on his scooter. Elias asks them to calm down but Solo Sikoa attacks him. The Usos send Elias into a barricade. The Usos start to cut a promo and discuss how Elias is taken out. They say Riddle will not need to be embarrassed anymore and Elias can go back to work on his songs.

Riddle comes out and says what The Bloodline did was not very Ucey. Sami cuts him off and tells Riddle that only he gets to decide what is Ucey as he is an Ucologist. Sami says Solo taking out Elias is Ucey. The Usos being the longest reigning tag team champions is Ucey. But, Riddle interrupting them is not Ucey. He tells Riddle to go back. Riddle reveals that he has a new tag team partner and he also does not like The Bloodline. Kevin Owens’ music hits and he comes out.

The Usos(Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso)(c) vs Matt Riddle & Kevin Owens – Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship

Owens blocks a pump kick and starts to unload on Jey with punches. He hits a senton after a shoulder tackle to take down Jey. KO was going for cannonball when Jimmy pulls out Jey. KO gets to the floor and tackles Jimmy before throwing Jey into the barricade. We cut to a break.

KO hits a cannonball on Jimmy as we return from a break to get a close two-count. He hits a moonsault from the top before tagging in Riddle. Jey hits an enzuigiri from behind on Riddle while the referee was distracted. The Usos start to work on Riddle now. Jimmy also hits a cheap kick on Riddle on the apron. They hit a double-team backbreaker.

Riddle tries to fight back but Jey distracts him and Jimmy nails him with a big uppercut. KO is knocked off the apron. The Usos then hit Riddle with a double-team back body drop. Riddle fires back with chest slaps on Jey but Jey immediately hits a pop-up Samoan Drop to get a close two-count.

Riddle hits a senton on Jimmy as we return from another break. KO gets the tag and hits a Swanton Bomb for a close two-count. Jimmy blocks a stunner and KO blocks a superkick. KO hits a superkick followed by a superkick from Jimmy. Jey and Riddle get tags. Jey has to leave to the floor to avoid a flurry from Riddle. Riddle takes out Solo with a suicide dive. Jey hits a superkick on KO. Jey gets back to the ring with Riddle. Jimmy gets a bling tag and Jey hits Riddle with a superkick. The Usos hit 1-D on Riddle in the ring to get the pin.

Winner – The Usos

After the match, The Usos and Sami continue to beat up Riddle. KO runs in with a steel chair and chases them to the back. Solo then attacks Riddle and drops him with a Samoan Spike(inspired from Umaga). Solo then wraps a chair around Riddle’s neck and hits him with a hip attack.


Rhea Ripley cuts a promo for her triple threat match later tonight saying Bayley and Asuka are great, but they are not Rhea Ripley. So, she will move on after winning the match tonight and will beat Bianca. She tells something to Dominik Mysterio in his ears before leaving.


We cut to backstage where JBL is hosing a JBL Poker Invitational. He says this tournament will become a tradition bigger than WrestleMania. Dexter Lumis comes in with his bag of money. JBL tries to insult him and says the tournament is invitational. Johnny Gargano tells Lumis to unload his bag. Lumis pulls out more than $100000 on the table and JBL is glad to have him in the tournament.

Bayley & Becky Lynch

Bayley makes her way out to the ring. Becky Lynch comes down through the crowd and interrupts her. Becky says it is over three years since they have faced each other. She compliments Bayley for keeping the company on her back during the Thunderdome Era. Bayley asks the crowd to at least cheer for her. Bayley says whenever Becky is here, the spotlight is all about her. Bayley tells the crowd that Becky actually does not care about anyone, while she cares for everyone. Bayley says she has Dakota and Iyo with her because she is looking towards the future while the same is not true for Becky.

Becky says 2/3 of Damage CTRL is successful as Dakota and Iyo are champions while Bayley is still a loser. Becky tells her to win her match tonight and they might face-off next week in a singles match than. That is if Bayley is woman enough to face The Man. Becky leaves the ring as Rhea Ripley’s music hits. Becky and Rhea have an intense staredown on the ramp.

Asuka vs Rhea Ripley vs Bayley – Winner Advances to #1 Contender Match

Asuka hits a dropkick to Bayley to start. Rhea tries to roll-up Asuka and then Bayley for two counts. Rhea throws Bayley to the floor. Rhea hits a suplex on Asuka before hitting shoulder tackles in the corner. Bayley returns to the ring and avoids a stomp on her hands. Bayley blocks a left from Rhea before catching a big shot on her ribs. Rhea hits a suplex on Bayley. Asuka recovers but Rhea throws her across the ring. Bayley is also thrown around. Asuka hits a flurry of strikes on Rhea. Bayley attacks Rhea from behind. Asuka and Bayley send her into the ringpost. Bayley and Asuka now fight each other to the floor. Rhea hits them with a senton on the floor to take us to a break.

Rhea has Asuka pinned to the mat as we return. Bayley kicks at Asuka before Rhea throws her to the corner. Asuka sends Bayley to the floor with a back bodydrop. She unloads with a flurry of strikes on Rhea before sending her to the corner. Rhea drops Bayley when she comes in. Asuka jumps off Bayley’s back to hit a pump kick. Asuka then hits a knee to the face to get a two-count on Rhea. Asuka hits sidekicks on both women now. Asuka catches Bayley’s leg for an ankle lock.

Rhea hits Bayley with a headbutt when she grabs her hair. Asuka hits a German suplex on Bayley. Asuka hits a kick on Rhea. Bayley pulls her to the floor and drops her. Bayley tries to team up with Rhea, but Rhea tells her that she could not boss her around. Rhea and Bayley start to brawl. Asuka hits them with a missile dropkick. Asuka goes to the top again for a missile dropkick again to get a two-count. Asuka puts on Asuka Lock. Rhea hits them with a dropkick to break the lock.

Rhea hits short clotheslines on Asuka. Asuka puts on an armbar on Rhea but Bayley breaks it up with an elbow drop. Bayley hits Bayley-to-Belly on Asuka and Rhea breaks the pin. Rhea hits a Northern Lights Suplex bridge for a two-count. Rhea now drops Asuka face-first into the mat for another two-count. Rhea hits a dropkick on Bayley to knock her off the apron. She misses a senton on the floor. Bayley gets into the ring. Asuka and Bayley go back and forth in the ring before Bayley hits Roseplant to get the pin.

Winner – Bayley

Rhea Ripley is frustrated after the match and she attacks Asuka.

Monday Night Messiah & All-Mighty

Seth Rollins comes out to the ring and talks a bit. He asks Bobby Lashley to come out. The crowd starts to sing his theme song when Bobby Lashley’s music hits and he comes out. Lashley asks Rollins what does he want to say to him. Rollins says Lashley is not the same since losing to Brock Lesnar. He adds that there is no shame in losing to Lesnar since he is bigger than Lashley. Lashley replies that Rollins is trying to get under his skin.

Rollins says may be Lashley is jealous of Lesnar with all of his title wins. Lashley grabs Rollins but Rollins calms him down. Rollins tells Lashley that the US title will not fill the void in his heart and if Lashley does not get his head right, Rollins may fight it easier to beat him than the first time around. Lashley attacks Rollins and throws him to the floor. He sends Rollins into the barricade. Rollins also starts to hit back but security, referees and crew members come out to take things under control. Lashley ends up accidentally catching a producer with a spear. Rollins leaves the ring.


Byron Saxton catches up with Austin Theory for his comments on what just happened. Theory says all he sees are two former champions fighting over scrap as forever is just beginning. Mustafa Ali is standing beside him. Ali mocks him and says Theory is wiring checks that he can’t “cash-in”. Theory tells Ali that he keeps running his mouth and keeps losing. Ali says he has to fight for everything unlike Theory who is handed everything. Theory gives him a title shot tonight but he does now want to hear from Ali back again if he loses tonight.


We cut back to JBL’s poker tournament. Chad Gable folds his cards. Luke Gallows and Gable start to argue. Corbin asks them to shut up as he is trying to read Dexter Lumis. Lumis ends up winning another hand. Corbin accuses him of cheating but Lumis just puts an axe on the table and Corbin is good now. Dominik tries to steal some chips on the other table from Akira Tozawa. Tozawa tells him to fight him. JBL tells them to fight outside. Dominik mocks Tozawa for being of same height as his “deadbeat dad” and they will meet in a match later tonight.

Austin Theory(c) vs Mustafa Ali – WWE United States Championship

Austin pushes Ali to start. Ali puts on a side headlock but Austin quickly hits him with a tackle. Ali hits a chop but it only angers Austin who runs him over. Austin runs Ali over once again before a hard whip to the corner. Ali ducks his attacks and hits him with headscissors. Ali hits a suicide dive on the floor. Austin sends him face-first in the ring post and then into the barricade to take us to the break.

Ali is hitting a big chop in the corner. He avoids a charge in the corner and hits a gamengiri and a DDT to get a two-count. Austin hits a back elbow. Ali hits a Frankestiener from the top before hitting a satellite DDT to get a close two-count. Austin brings him down in a Tree of Woe on the apron and hits Ali with kicks to his ribs. Austin unloads with more punches. Dolph Ziggler comes in and hits a superkick to Austin to cause a disqualification.

Winner – Austin Theory

Ali is livid with Ziggler for DQ. They argue in the ring. Austin Theory comes in and tackles them. Ali is sent into the ring post and to the floor. Austin hits a A-Town Down on Ziggler. He stands tall to close the segment.


JBL is on phone outside the poker tournament venue. The Miz comes in and asks JBL why he was not invited to the tournament. JBL says he was not aware that Miz is a card player and welcomes him to the tournament if he has $50,000. Miz says he does not have much liquid cash after some financial troubles and offers his Rolex. JBL checks the watch and tells him that his Rolex is not original. Miz gets angry and leaves.


Corbin is caught cheating in Poker by AJ Styles and Good Brothers. JBL loses his cool and calls them idiots. The OC challenges Baron Corbin and Alpha Academy for a match. Everyone has left the room other than Dexter Lumis and Johnny Gargano. They sweep all the money from the table.


WWE RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair is interviewed backstage and says she is ready to face anyone, even Rhea Ripley, to defend her title.


We see recap of Solo Sikoa’s attack on Matt Riddle and how Riddle was taken to the hospital.

The OC(AJ Styles, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) vs Baron Corbin & Alpha Academy(Otis & chad Gable)

Corbin starts with big punches on AJ. He hits a shoulder tackle to drop AJ. AJ hits back with a dropkick. He hits a kick to the knee and a DDT. Tags to Anderson and Gable. Gable uses his wrestling skills to take down Anderson to put on a headlock. Gable hits a shoulder tackle. Anderson hits an arm drag before tagging in Gallows. Gallows drops Gable. Gable comes out of an arm wrench before getting in a shoooosh-off with Gallows. Gallows nails him with an uppercut. Anderson tags in and Gable runs to his corner to tag in Corbin. Corbin hits a couple of uppercuts before Otis tags in to drop Anderson.

Corbin hits some elbows on Anderson. Anderson fires back with punches before Corbin drops him with a clothesline to get a two-count. Corbin keeps control for a while. Anderson counters a suplex and tags in AJ. AJ hits quick punches on all the opponents. Gable uses a low bridge to take AJ to the floor where Otis runs him over with a tackle to take us to a break.

Otis drops AJ with a big punch as we return. Otis hits a splash in the middle. Corbin comes in and nails AJ with a punch when he tries to fight back. Gable tags in and puts on an armbar. AJ tries to tag out but Gable slams him down to the mat. AJ hits a back body drop and tags in Gallows. The referee did not see that tag and tells Gallows to go back. Corbin hits AJ with Deep Six but he kicks out. Otis tags in but he misses a corner splash.

AJ hits an enzuigiri and tags in Anderson. Gable comes from the other side and runs into a flurry of attack from Anderson. Anderson hits a senton to get a two-count. Gable picks his leg and goes for an ankle lock. Anderson counters with a spinebuster. Corbin hits a chokeslam on AJ and a big punch on Gallows. AJ nails him with a Phenomenal Forearm. Otis knocks off Gallows. AJ hits Otis with Phenomenal Forearm. Anderson hits an uppercut on Gable. The Good Brothers hit Magic Killer on Gable to get the pin.

Winner – The OC

Candice LeRae is interviewed backstage after it is revealed that she will face Iyo Sky next week. Candice says she has known all those women for a long time. They were responsible for an injury earlier this year and she needs to send a message. Gargano and Lumis come in and they reveal all the money that they won in Poker. They all leave to celebrate.

Akira Tozawa vs Dominik Mysterio

Tozawa starts with quick kicks. He hits an enzuigiri before sending Dominik to the corner. Tozawa hits a missile dropkick next. Dominik counters in the corner and unloads with punches. Dominik hits three amigos amid boos from the crowd. Tozawa counters with a knee and hits shining wizard. Tozawa hits more kicks before missing a senton from the top. Dominik goes to the top now and hits a frog splash to get the pin.

Winner – Dominik Mysterio

The Street Profits run out to save Tozawa from post-match attack.


Adam Pearce warns Bobby Lashley for attacking WWE crew. He tells Lashley that he might face stern action next time this happens.

Becky Lynch vs Nikki Cross vs Alexa Bliss – Winner Advances to #1 Contender Match

Nikki shows off her anger by slamming her jacket. Becky nails her with a throat punch and Asuka kicks her out of the ring. Becky and Alexa face off now to go back and forth for a while. Alexa goes for Sister Abigail but Becky blocks it. Alexa hits her with Russian Leg Sweep and knee drops. Nikki comes in and sends her to the corner. Nikki hits the corner splashes on both women. Alex counters Nikki in the corner before Becky hits her with jumping forearm.

Becky hits Nikk with a bexploder. Alexa unloads on Becky. Becky counters before Nikki pulls her out of the ring. Nikki slams Becky’s face into the apron. She sends Alexa over the announce table to take us to a break.

Nikki has Alexa in a chin lock with her own arms wrapped. Nikki slams her to the mat and Becky runs him with a flying shoulder tackle. Becky hits a bulldog before slamming her face into the turnbuckle. Becky hits a legdrop to get a two-count. Nikki fights off Manhandle slam but gets hit with a bexploder. Bliss comes in to fight Becky. Nikki pulls out Becky and Alexa hits both of them with a senton. Bliss kicks away Becky as she goes to the top.

Nikki joins Alexa on the top. Becky pulls both of them down with a powerbomb. Becky and and Nikki trade shots now. Nikki hits a crossbody from the top and Bliss breaks the pin. Nikki gets enraged and attacks Alexa. Alexa sends her to the floor where they brawl. Nikki hits a crossbody against the apron.

Nikki goes for neckbreaker but Becky hits them with a double leg drop. Alexa kicks out of the pin though. Becky and Nikki fight on the apron where Becky hits Manhandle slam. Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky come out and attack Becky. They put Becky through the announce desk with a powerbomb. Alexa hits Nikki with Twisted Bliss to get the pin.

Winner – Alexa Bliss
