WWE RAW Results April 29, 2024, Updates, Winners- Draft Night 2

WWE RAW episode of April 29, 2024, saw Draft 2024 continue on night 2. Logan Paul was set for an appearance for the show which was also the go-home show for Backlash France 2024 event.

Sami Zayn faced Bronson Reed to defend Intercontinental title. Newly crowned Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch opened the show. Check below for the complete results from WWE RAW April 29, 2024 episode.

RESULTS & UPDATES

The show started in the parking lot with United States Champion entering the arena in his car. He had Patrick Mahones and IShowSpeed with him. Judgment Day met him in the parking itself with World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest appreciating Logan for his work as the champion.

Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch came out to the ring. She talked about her win last week before Liv Morgan came out. Liv claimed that Becky was able to win the title since she took out Rhea Ripley and forced her to relinquish the title. Nia Jax interrupted them and said that if she was going to SmackDown, she was taking any one of them with her. Nia tried to get into the ring, but Liv hit her with a dropkick on her leg on the apron to drop her back to the floor. Liv then said if Nia was looking for a fight tonight, she could face her.

We see Jey Uso in the parking lot earlier today as he entered the arena.

Backstage, Stephaine McMahon had the picks from Draft round 1. We cut to a break.

We see Sami Zayn entering the arena earlier tonight. He will face Bronson Reed to defend Intercontinental Championship.

Stephaine McMahon announced the first round picks from night 2 of Draft 2024, which are as below:

• Imperium(Gunther & Ludwig Kaiser)(RAW)
• Jade Cargill(SmackDown)
• Damage CTRL(Iyo Sky, Asuka, Kairi Sane & Dakota Kai)(SmackDown)
• Kevin Owens(SmackDown)

Gunther defeated Xavier Woods in a singles match. Gunther dominated the match completely and had Woods in a single leg crab when Kofi Kingston decided to throw in the towel. Woods told Kofi that he could still do it. He tried to fight out of the lock but Gunther added a crossface to the lock to force Woods to tap out.

Jey Uso was interviewed backstage where he refused to talk about Logan Paul and said WWE should have signed the Paul Brother with a winning record.

Logan Paul and IShowSpeed came out to announce the round 2 picks of the Draft. Patrick Mahomes was in the first row and Logan asked Samantha Irvin to announce him. The draft picks were as below:

• CM Punk(RAW)
• The Pride(Bobby Lashley, Angelo Dawkins, Montez Ford & B-Fab)(SmackDown)
• Braun Strowman(RAW)
• Tiffany Stratton(SmackDown)

After the draft picks, Logan Paul switched into talking trash about Jey Uso. Jey came out to confront him. Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh also came out to attack Jey. Logan took Patrick Mahomes’ 3 SuperBowl rings and put them on. JD held Jey as Logan looked to punch him with the rings on. Jey ducked and Logan caught JD with the punch. Balor and Logan continued to beat up Jey until Braun Strowman made his return to make the save. Strowman tried to get into it with Mahomes, but Jey talked him into leaving it.

Backstage, R-Truth and Chad Gable were striking some deal when The Miz came in. Some comedy followed as R-Truth thought that NFL draft was going on tonight at RAW. Gable joked with Miz that he had a good negotiator. As Gable turned around, he was hit with a big boot from Sami Zayn.

Booker T was interviewed backstage as he was working as a Draft analyst. He said CM Punk was good pick for RAW. Drew McIntyre, who was passing by, took offense on Punk getting picked before him and had an argument with Booker.

Sami Zayn defeated Bronson Reed in a singles match via disqualification to retain Intercontinental Championship. Chad Gable attacked Sami as he was setting up for Helluva kick.

After the match was called, Reed also joined into the attack and hit Sami with the Tsunami. Gable then grabbed the Intercontinental Championship and held it up, but Reed hit Gable with a Death Valley Driver. Reed then held up the Intercontinental Championship.

JBL and Jon Simmons came out to announce the round 3 draft picks:

Drew McIntyre stormed out to the ring after the picks were announced. McIntyre expressed his frustrations at not being drafted until the third round before moving onto rant att CM Punk who allegedly fractured his elbow at WrestleMania 40. Punk’s music hits, but he didn’t show up. He ultimately appeared in a suite up in the crowd. McIntyre stormed to the back looking for him.

We cut backstage to Alpha Academy where Maxxine Dupri expressed her excitement about her performance last week. Chad Gable came int and said she did not win and therefore, did not have anything to be happy about. He then turned to Akira Tozawa and Otis to tell them to win the World Tag Team Championship tonight.

Bron Breakker was backstage when Sheamus interrupted him to show his appreciation for him, telling him that he reminded him of younger version of himself and having banger after banger after banger. Drew McIntyre stormed past them.

Candice LeRae defeated Maxxine Dupri in a singles match. Indi Hartwell attacked Ivy Nile on the floor which distracted Dupri and allowed LeRae to hit her with a kick on the jaw.

Drew McIntyre finally got to CM Punk’s suite, but only found a signed pamphlet there. Punk’s music hit and he made his entrance. Punk said he would say his piece in lesser time than Drew’s last title reign that is 5 minutes and 46 seconds. He added that he prayed for McIntyre to get injured after McIntyre did the same. Punk told McIntyre that he was picked ahead of McIntyre since he is best in the world, and when he would be medically cleared, he would make McIntyre’s life hell.

Teddy Long & Alundra Blaze announced round 4 picks of the draft which are as below:

• Judgment Day(Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Dominik Mysterio)(RAW)
• Naomi(SmackDown)
• Ilja Dragunov(RAW from NXT)
• Chelsea Green & Piper Niven(SmackDown)

Liv Morgan defeated Nia Jax in a singles match. Nia used her size advantage throughout the match. Tiffany Stratton was in the front row in the crowd. Liv powerbombed Nia off the ropes for a near fall. Naomi attacked Tiffany out of nowhere. They fight to the ringside. Nia then decked Naomi on the floor. This distraction allowed Liv to hit Codebreaker and Oblivion to get the pinfall.

Adam Pearce expressed happiness over the fact that Chelsea Green and Piper Niven were picked up by SmackDown.

The Dudley Boyz announced round 5 picks from the Draft, which were as below.

Awesome Truth(R-Truth & The Miz) defeated Alpha Academy(Otis & Akira Tozawa) in a tag team match to retain World Tag Team Championship via pinfall after hitting The Truth Crushing Finale.

RAW Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown Manager Nick Aldis announced the round 6 picks for the draft as follows:

• Bronson Reed(RAW)

Jey Uso, Ricochet & Andrade defeated Judgment Day(Finn Balor, Damian Priest & JD McDonagh) in a tag team match. Priest and JD got into an argument in the final minute which allowed Jey to hit both of them with superkicks to send them to the floor. Jey then hit Balor with a spear and Usos splash to get the pinfall.
