Welcome to the WWE RAW Live Results blog for August 29, 2022 episode which will crown the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The show will also be the go-home episode for Clash of the Castle 2022 event, and therefore has a packed card. Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky vs Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah match is the final for WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle will return to RAW this week but it remains unclear how he will be utilized on the show.

Bobby Lashley will take on the Miz one week after Miz was kidnapped by Dexter Lumis. The Bloodline’s Sami Zayn, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso will arrive to the red brand before Roman’s 2 years title celebration. Seth Rollins and Riddle will also come face-to-face before their match at Clash at the Castle.

Live Updates


AJ Styles comes out to open the show. Ziggler makes his entrance and we get a recap of Edge vs Damian Priest match from last week, post-match attack from Judgement Day and how Beth Pheonix saved Edge. Finn Balor and Damian Priest make their entrance with Rhea Ripley now.

AJ Styles & Dolph Ziggler vs Judgment Day(Finn Balor & Damian Priest)

Ziggler and Balor start with a lock. Balor starts with a takedown. Ziggler hits a kick. Priest and AJ tag in. Priest hits several kicks in the corner. Styles hits back with a drop kick. AJ sends Priest to the floor to hits a jumping forearm. We cut to a break.

Balor has Ziggler under control as we return from the break. Ziggler tries to fight back but Balor hits a drop kick. Balor mocks Styles with his pose and allows Ziggler to counter a powerbomb with a Famouser. AJ and Priest get the tags. Styles unloads on Priest with a flurry of strikes before Priest hits him with an elbow. Styles puts Priest in a Calf Crusher after a roll up. Balor puts Priest’s hand on the bottom rope to break it. Ziggler takes care of Balor on the floor. Priest hits AJ with a back breaker. AJ hits an insiguri and tags in Ziggler. Ziggler rolls up Priest but the referee was busy checking on AJ. Priest hits South of Heaven chokeslam to get the pin on Ziggler.

Winner – Judgment Day

After the match, Judgment Day trio were leaving when Edge’s SUV pulled into the parking. Judgement Day return to the ring and awaits Edge. We cut to a break.

After the break, Judgment Day calls out Edge to come out to the ring. Balor says Rey Mysterio and Edge had documentaries made of them after getting beaten by them. Priest says he had Edge defeated last week after a South of Heaven, but the referee was down. Priest says Edge will have his Judgment Day tonight. Edge’s music hits and he comes out now.

Edge says last week he went to war with Priest and beat him. Edge keeps them engaged with his promo until the Mysterios attack them from behind with kendo sticks. The brawling spills to the floor with Rey taking Balor to the floor. Priest was beating up Dominik in the ring but Edge clotheslines him to the floor. Rhea and Dominik are in the ring now and Rhea talks Dominik into handing her the kendo stick. Edge and Rey return to the ring and Balor pulls Rhea out of the ring. Judgment Day leave through the crowd.


We see a recap of Dexter Lumis “kidnapping” Miz last week. Miz and Tommaso Ciampa are backstage. Kevin Patrick interviews Miz about what happened last week. Miz refuses to talk about it at all.


Bianca Belair, Asuka & Alexa Bliss vs Dani Mo, Katie Arquette, & Kayla Sparks

Bianca pushes away the first opponent back to her corner. Second opponent tags in and Bianca drops her face-first to the mat. Bianca keeps the upper hand against the third opponent and hits her with a handspring splash in the corner. Asuka and Alexa get in the ring to deal with other two opponents. Bianca hits a delayed vertical suplex. Bliss tags in and keeps control. Asuka comes in for more quick attack. Bianca hits KOD on an interferring opponent. Asuka gets a submission with Asuka lock.

Winner – Bianca Belair, Asuka & Alexa Bliss

The winning trio has mics with them and they hype that they will win their match at Clash at the Castle this Saturday.


Miz and Tomasso Ciampa are in the locker room when Adam Pearce comes in to talk to Miz about last week. Miz refuses to divulge into any details after he was dragged out. Pearce tells him that Lumis is let go since Miz did not press any charges and did not talk to police. Miz rants on Pearce for putting him in a match against Lashley after what he went through last week. Pearce asks him again to reveal what happened to him last week. Miz again refuses and Pearce walks away.


Kurt Angle makes his entrance in his hometown with a big ovation. He starts to talk about Clash at the Castle when Alpha Academy interrupt them. We cut to a break.

Gable is in the ring with Otis as says Angle is his personal hero. Gable talks about how Angle’s story was his inspiration when he was preparing for the Olympics. Gable reveals that he was looking for a new member for Alpha Academy with an open challenge, but nobody has answered to his challenge. Gable talks trash for the crowd before offering membership for Kurt Angle. Otis hands Angle a jacket but Angle throws it away.

Angle goes on to talk about it but Gable shooshes him. Angle shooshes him in reply before they get in a shoosh-off. Gable tells Otis to show what happens when someone declines Alpha Academy’s offer. The Street Profits run out to stand with Angle. Montez Ford talks for a bit before challenging Alpha Academy for a match. Gable replies that he will accept the challenge but Angle will have to join Alpha Academy if he losses. Ford hypes the crowd on the offer and Angle accepts the conditions.

Alpha Academy(Chad Gable & Otis) vs The Street Profits(Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)

Otis and Ford start the match. Otis no-sells chops from Ford. Ford keeps up with kicks and punches. Otis hits him with a pop-up body slam. Gable hits chops on Ford. Ford avoids him in the corner and hits a dropkick. Dawkins comes in and drops Ford on Gable. Dawkins hits a shoulder tackle off the ropes. He continues to run the ropes. Gable hits him with an armdrag. Dawkins hits an armdrag of his own. Dawkins sends Gable to the floor. Otis comes in and Ford helps out Dawkins to send him to the floor also. Dawkins hits Alpha Academy with a senton dive.

Gable counters in the corner and hits a dragon screw leg on Dawkins on the ropes. Gable works on the knee before bringing in Otis briefly. Dawkins tries to fight back against Gable and tags in Ford. Ford hits a shin to face, a diving crossbody, a lariat, back suplex and a standing moonsault to get a two-count. Otis runs interference when Ford goes to the top. Gable hits Ford with a superplex to take us to a break.

Ford counters Gable as we return. Dawkins and Otis get the tags. Dawkins hits an uppercut before Otis drops him with a spinning back elbow. He hits Ford with a back body drop before hitting Dawkins with a body slam. Ford brings Otis to the floor after Gable tags in. Dawkins avoids a pin before hitting a double under hook suplex to get a two-count. Ford comes in for a bit of back and forth. Gable drops him with a suplex. Otis slams him to the mat before Gable hits a diving headbutt. Dawkins breaks the pin.

Dawkins is sent back to the floor. Gable puts on the ankle lock and mocks Kurt Angle on the floor. Ford turns it over and puts on the ankle lock himself. Otis breaks it with a splash. Dawkins sends Otis into the announce table on the floor. Dawkins and Ford double team for a while before Ford hits a Frog Splash from the top to get the pin.

Winner – The Street Profits

The Street Profits celebrate in the ring before they offer Kurt Angle a cup. Angle instead gives them milk bottle and they cheers with it. Angle throws milk bottles into the crowd.


We get footage of Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle getting into a fight in the parking lot when they were arriving to the arena earlier today. Riddle and Rollins are interviewed in split screen by Corey Graves. They start to argue. Rollins says he did not start targeting Riddle. Rollins claims that he is at the top of the food chain and Riddle is trying to make his name, but he is not on Rollins’ level. Riddle says he is gonna embarrass Rollins just like Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes did earlier this year.

Rollins replies nobody in locker room likes Riddle, and he will finish what he started at MSG, and then go on for Universal title. Rollins says he will put Riddle’s head into the match once again and show who is the man here. Riddle replies that he is going to prove that Becky Lynch is the only man in their marriage. The interview ends as we are out of time.

After the break, we see that Rollins and Riddle argued a little bit more with Rollins bringing up how Riddle’s wife left him.

The Miz vs Bobby Lashley

Lashley tackles Miz as he runs at him. Lashley hits big shots in the corner before a big tackle. Miz goes for a big boot but it gets caught and Lashley hits a manhattan drop. Lashley tears apart Miz’s shirt and hits a delayed vertical suplex. Lashley clotheslines Miz to the floor now. Ciampa tries to talk with Miz but he gets startled. Lashley intimidates Ciampa as we cut to a break.

Lashley dumps Miz to the floor as we return from the break. Ciampa jumps on the ring post when Lashley goes to put Miz into the post. Lashley sends Miz back to the ring. Miz catches Lashley with a knee as he was getting back. Miz slams Lashley’s face into the announce table a few times with Ciampa instructing him. Miz throws Lashley into the steel steps.

Back to the ring, Miz continues to be in control for a while. Lashley finally coutners and hits quick moves. A big spinebuster sets up a spear, but Ciampa pulls Miz out of the ring. Lashley goes to the floor and gets distracted by Ciampa. Miz tries to use knuckles but the referee catches him. Ciampa takes a cheap shot on Lashley behind the referee. Miz hits a DDT to get a near fall. Miz was going for the Skull Crushing Finale but he sees Dexter Lumis in the top row. Miz gets stressed and tells Ciampa to go and catch Lumis. But Lumis is gone by the time Ciampa turns around. Lashley puts Miz in the Hurt Lock to get the submission.

Winner – Bobby Lashley

Kurt Angle is in the locker room when Edge walks in. Edge show him some big photos on even bigger cardboards. They essentially recreated their iconic segment 2000 with the backside of pictures is scribbled with something. Edge apologizes to Angle for beating him for tag titles, US title and also for starting “You Suck” chants. The final one says Angle still sucks. Edge leaves and Angle walks over to the Mysterios to show them the pictures. The Mysterios are laughing and Angle turns the photo around and sees what Edge did. Angle says that SOB has done it again and walks off.

Dominik and Rey start to talk now. Dominik says he thought Clash at the Castle is going to be a family thing. Rey tells him that he needed the experience from Edge to deal with Judgement Day, and that Dominik will be in their corner anyway. Dominik agrees.


The Usos and Sami Zayn come out to the ring. The Usos hype the upcoming 2 years title celebration for Roman Reigns on this Friday’s “SmackDown.” Sami says he will be the main co-ordinator for the celebration as per Roman. Sami then hypes The Usos as the most dominant tag team in WWE history. The Usos say they run both RAW and SmackDown. Kevin Owens’ music interrupt them and he says The Usos don’t run anything on Monday’s because it’s his show. Jey asks Sami if Owens is his boy.

Sami hesitates but replies that technically he is. Jey tells Sami to get him before he does. Owens says Zayn is getting more stupid than he thought as he is trying to join the Bloodline. Owens tries to tell Sami that they are just taking advantage of him. Zayn tries to defend Roman and the Bloodline. Owens says that he has not forgotten that Jey is the reason he didn’t beat Roman for the title at TLC and and in Steel Cage match. He issues a challenge for a match and it is accepted.

Kevin Owens vs Jey Uso

Owens starts with big blows. Jey tries to cut him off but Owens continues to unload. Jey goes to the floor and manages to send Owens into the ringpost. Owens reverses a whip to send Jey into the steel steps. Back to the ring, Jey catches Owens with a shot at the back. Jey unloads in the corner. He whips Owens from corner to corner. Jey misses a hip attack in the corner and Owens hits him with cannonball. Owens goes for a powerbomb on the floor but Jimmy distracts him. Jey hits him with a Samoan drop on the steel steps to take us to a break.

Jey has Owens on the top as we return. Owens hits him with a superplex. Owens goes to the top but Jey hits him with an uppercut. Owens drops him back to the mat and hits a Swanton bomb to get a near fall. Jey blocks a stunner. Owens blocks a superkick and hits one of his own. Jey counters and hits a Usos splash from the top to get a near fall. Owens gets his knees up on the second top rope splash. Owens hits a superkick and a frog splash from the top, but Jey kicks out. Jey rolls to the floor. Owens gets into an argument with Sami and Jey hits him with a suicide dive. Jey tells Sami to get a steel chair. Jimmy distracts the referee but Sami could not bring himself to hit Owens with the chair. Jimmy argues with Sami on the floor. Owens hits a distracted Jey with a stunner to get the pin.

Winner – Kevin Owens

Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky are backstage. Bayley cuts a promo to hype their match at Clash at the Castle and to win women’s tag titles later tonight.

Ciampa catches up with The Miz as he was leaving the arena. Miz assures him that he is fine and leaves in his car. Dexter Lumis was sitting in the back of the car.

We get a recap of Johnny Gargano’s return last week. Gargano is sitting in the empty arena before the show tonight. He says that he is excited to get back in the ring. He also adds that he is happy for Theory’s success, but Theory forgot about him and didn’t even call him after his child was born. Theory comes in and asks Gargano in return why he didn’t call after Theory had won US title or MITB briefcase. Theory says it was because Gargano was jealous of him.

Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky vs Raquel Rodriguez & Aliya – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament Final

Aliyah starts with side headlock. Iyo hits her with a tackle. Raquel tags in and sends Iyo near the ropes. Iyo hits a double stomp from the ropes. Kai comes in and hits a drop kick to get a two-count. Aliyah hits a crossbody after Raquel brings her in. An arm drag from Aliyah follows. The action spills to the floor now. Kai hits Raquel with a kick on her way back in. We cut to a break with Iyo and Sky in control somewhat.

We return to seen Iyo and Raquel in the ring. Iyo hits a drop kick to Rodriguez. Kai comes in to hit Raquel with head scissors to get a two-count. Raquel sends her ot the corner. Iyo comes back in and Raquel tosses her also into Kai. Raquel nails Iyo with a headbutt, corner splashes and a back elbow. Iyo tries to come back with forearm strikes. Raquel throws Iyo to the floor. Kai distracts the referee and Bayley takes a shot at Raquel. Iyo hits a moonsault from the top to get a near fall.

Bayley tries to interfere again, but Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss and Asuka run out. Bayley runs into the crowd seeing them. The trio chase Bayley into the crowd. Aliyah takes a tag but does not come into the ring. Kai and SKY continue to work on Raquel when Aliyah runs in and rolls up Kai to get the pin.

Winner – Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah

Kai is in shock after getting pinned. Bayley is back at the stage and watches her partners. Raquel and Aliyah get their titles and celebrate with them. Belair, Asuka and Bliss come to ringside to celebrate with them.
