And we’re in the ring with Jerry “The King” Lawler, who is taking a moment to comment on the King of the Ring tournament starting later tonight. He mentions that the tournament was the launching pad for many great careers, such as Bret Hart, Steve Austin, and Minneapolis’s own Brock Lesnar. He predicts that Cedric Alexander and Ricochet will be the last two on the Raw side of the tournament before the lights go out. It’s The Fiend, and Jerry runs out of the ring saying that he has seen this before. But as he reaches the ramp, Bray sneaks up on him and catches him with the Mandible Claw.
Ricochet & the Miz defeated Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre
McIntyre and Miz start things off but Ricochet tags in quickly to hit a springboard move. Miz and Ricochet send McIntyre and Corbin out and take them out at ringside as we head to a break. Miz and Corbin are in the ring as we return with Corbin in control. Corbin keeps him in his corner and sets him up for a big spinebuster from McIntyre. McIntyre also hits a suplex for a two count before putting Miz in a seated armbar. Miz tries to fight back but Corbin and McIntyre keep him under control.
Miz takes McIntyre down and Ricochet and Corbin get the hot tag. Ricochet takes down both opponents with a flurry of high-flying maneuvers. He is running circles around Corbin with many quick moves. Ricochet hits a standing shooting star press for two. Drew takes out Miz with a big boot ad throws Ricochet across the ring. Ricochet superkicks him into a Skull Crushing Finale from Miz. Corbin chokeslams Miz and hits Ricochet with Deep Six for a near fall. Miz saves Ricochet from a corner spear and Ricochet hits the codebreaker to get the pin.
Booker T joined the broadcast from Skype and plugs the King of the Ring Tournament. He is predicting Drew McIntyre to win this year’s tournament.
Braun Strowman defeated AJ Styles with a Disqualification in the United States Championship Match
Styles slaps Braun across the face to start. He tries to hit a chop block but Strowman no-sells it. Strowman sends him outside and chases him around the ring. Styles takes advantage when he gets back in with a series of punches. Strowman grabs him for a chokeslam but AJ counters with a kick to the knee. Braun throws him up for a nasty backdrop. He levels Gallows and Anderson off of the apron before he runs into a pair of AJ’s boots. Styles springboards right into a clubbing blow to the chest. Strowman catches him and was about to hit the running power slam when Gallows superkicks him to cause a DQ.
Gallows and Anderson continue to attack Strowman with double team moves. They send him into the ring post and were about to hit the magic killer when Seth Rollins runs in to make the save. He hits some punches on both of them before sending them out with superkicks.
