WWE NXT September 28 2021

WWE NXT will present a new episode on September 28, 2021 with a studded line up of three title matches.

Roderick Strong will defend his newly won Cruiserweight Championship against Grayson Waller, Io Shirai & Zoey Stark will defend Women’s Tag Team titles against Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne, and Raquel Gonzalez vs Franky Money Women’s title match will take place finally three weeks after it was first announced.

NXT Cruiserweight Title Match: As soon as Roderick Strong won the title, he was challenged by Grayson Waller for a title match. Their title matches takes place this week.

NXT Women Tag Team Championship: Mandy Rose said that Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne are not one to be messed around. Io Shirai later accepted the title challenge from them and despite their differences, Zoey Stark agreed to defend the title.

Elektra Lopez vs B-Fab: After a long rivalry, Lopez and B-Fab will take on each other in a singles match this week at NXT.

NXT Women’s Championship Match: Raquel Gonzalez will return to action after a brief gap to defend the NXT Women’s title. She will face Franky Monet and her sidekicks.

Elektra Lopez defeated B-Fab in a no-Disqualification match. After a back and forth match, Lopez dropped B-Fab on a steel chair and hit the sit-out powerbomb to get the pin.

Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell are on their Honeymoon. They get into sea but get scared by a shark, which turned out to be Johnny Gargano in disguise.

Joe Gacy is in the ring. WWE shows how his woke promo got mainstream media attention. Gacy says his words have been more impactful than other NXT stars like Tommaso Ciampa. Johnny Gargano and others, without throwing a punch because he speaks for a generation. He said that locker room was triggered last week, but he is only about conflict resolution.

Xyon Quinn defeated Oney Lorcan in a short match. Lorcan controlled the match after initial burst from Quinn. Quinn made a comeback late in the match and hit a flying clothesline to get the win.

MSK gets interviewed in the ring and where they say they are not content despite going through the tag division. Grizzled Young Veterans interrupt them, then Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams. MSK dare them to come after them. Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen interrupt next. A brawl breaks out between the four teams.

Raquel Gonzalez is backstage and says she is not overlooking Franky Monet, but she will be added to the list of her victims. Mandy Rose walk by and say title would look better on her.

Io Shirai and Zoey Stark defeated Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne to retain NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship. This was a long match which ended with Io Shirai hitting her moonsault finisher on Jayne while Stark took care of Dolin and Mandy Rose on the floor.

Bron Breakker gets a vignette where he recalls how his last two weeks have been like a canon for him. He says his target is to be the NXT Champion and tells Tommaso Ciampa that he is not a patient guy.

Tommaso Ciampa joins the show via video call. He says his match with Bron Breakker will eventually happen, but Breakker will drown in inexperience. Nobody defeated him for the title last time, and nobody is defeating him now.

Boa defeated Andre Chase in a singles match. Near the end, Mie Ying spits Black Mist on Chase while the referee was distracted and Boa dropped him with his finisher to get the pin.

More clips from InDex Honeymoon. Gargano get trapped in their room as he went in to check whether they have protection. Indi and Lumis come into the room and Gargano hides in the closet.

Roderick Strong defeated Grayson Waller to retain NXT Cruiserweight Championship. Waller attacked Strong before the bell but Strong came into the match as the bell rung. Strong kicked out of a flying stunner at the end and then finished Waller with a jumping knee strike.

LA Knight is backstage for an interview. He is asked to face Oddesey Jones next week. Jones also rolls up and tells Knight that he has not seen anyone like him. Knight attacks Jones after they get distracted by Chase Owens.

Kyle O’Reilly defeated Ridge Holland with a rollup. Pete Dunne and Holland attacks KOR post match, but Von Wagner makes the save.

Raquel Gonzalez defeated Franky Money to retain NXT Women’s Championship after hitting one-arm powerbomb for the pin.

Post-match, Toxic Attraction attack Franky Money and then Raquel Gonzalez. They stand tall over Raquel to close the show.
