WWE NXT Sept 12: Lynch vs Stratton NXT Women’s Title Bout Set
Tiffany Stratton will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch on September 12, 2023, episode of WWE NXT.
During the September 5 episode of NXT, Stratton defeated Kiana James and successfully retained her NXT women’s title. Following the match, Lynch made an appearance on television, during which she noted that she had secured victory in every championship except for the NXT Women’s title.
Lynch subsequently issued a challenge to Stratton for a title match set to take place on the upcoming week’s episode of NXT at the main event, and WWE later officially scheduled the match for the next week’s episode of NXT.

The rivalry between Lynch and Stratton began when Stratton declared her intention to become the greatest NXT Women’s Champion, surpassing Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka. In response to this statement, Lynch took to Twitter to taunt Stratton, highlighting the fact that she had not yet captured the NXT title.
During the Payback 2023 PLE, Lynch defeated Trish Stratus in a steel cage match. Following the match, Stratton and Lynch had a heated confrontation backstage. Lynch’s last match for NXT was on July 31, 2015, when she and Charlotte Flair defeated Jessie McKay and Lina.
