Welcome to the live results blog for WWE NXT February 28, 2023 episode which will be the last episode before NXT Roadblock special episode.

This week’s show will feature Gigi Dolin putting out her side after attacking Jacy Jayne last week. Several singles matches are set for the show. Tyler Bate praised Trick Williams for his performance against Ilja Dragunov. But Carmelo Hayes quickly told him to be away from the title scene. This confrontation led to a singles match.

Zoey Stark was unhappy with Meiko Satomura getting a shot at NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Roadblock. Stark then went on to challenge Satomura herself for this week’s episode. In another women’s match, Sol Ruca will take on Elektra Lopez in a singles match.

NXT North American Champion Wes Lee has issued another open challenge to defend his title anyone who is willing to take on him. Who will end up facing him this week? The last announced match is a tag team match where Indus Sher’s Veer and Sanga will take on Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen.

LIVE UPDATES

A brawl has broken down to answer to Wes Lee’s open challenge. Daba Kato is the one emerging to challenge the North American Champion. Apollo Crews comes out and attacks him on the ramp. Nathan Frazer runs past everyone and gets into the ring as he returns after 4 months.

Wes Lee(c) vs Nathan Frazer – NXT North American Championship

Frazer hits a shoulder tackle to start. He hits an arm drag next. Frazer puts on a side headlock before Lee reverses it. They break free, but Frazer takes him down in a side headlock again. He keeps Lee under control for a while. They run the ropes before they trade arm drags and hit each other with dropkicks at the same time. Lee connects a sidekick to slow things down.

Lee hits a shoulder next after putting on a chinlock. Lee puts on a front facelock next. Frazer is thrown to the apron. He hits a tackle from the apron before throwing Lee to the floor. Lee gets in as Frazer was going for senton. Lee drops Frazer on the floor to take us to a break.

Frazer misses a moonsault as we return from the break. They collide in the middle in a crossbody. Frazer hits an inverted DDT for a close two-count. Frazer hits a big chop before he sets up Lee on the top. Lee pushes him away but Frazer lands on his feet. He jumps back to the top and hits a superplex and a twisting neckbreaker in quick succession for a close two-count.

Lee drops Frazer’s face on the ropes. Frazer hits a dropkick to knock him off the apron. Frazer goes for a springboard move but misses Lee. Lee hits a senton on Frazer on the floor before hitting Kardiac kick in the ring to get the pinfall.

Winner – Wes Lee

Frazer shakes hands with Lee after the match.


We get a video package talking about retina injury that he suffered at the hands of Ilja Dragunov. He says Dragunov will suffer and he will break Dragunov’s spirit.


Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen are backstage. Briggs asks Jensen why his mood is off. Jensen says something feels off since Valentine’s Day with Kiana James. Briggs replies that men do not get women and he should not worry much.


Hank Walker is backstage when Axiom comes in asks him about a kick on him during the brawl earlier. Walker tries to explain that the kick was meant for Drew Gulak. Axiom is not happy that it cost him the North American title opportunity. Walker also gets enraged as their argument continues.

Indus Sher(Veer & Sanga) vs Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen

Veer starts with a kick to mid section to Jensen. Sanga tags in and Jensen puts on a side headlock. He hits a bulldog before Briggs tags in. Briggs tags Jensen back after a couple of big shots from Sanga. Jensen is thrown around by Sanga, Quick tags between Veer and Sanga. Veer holds Jensen on the ropes as Sanga hits a running boot.

Sanga puts on a choke. Jensen breaks free but Sanga hits him with a body slam. Jensen hits a headbutt and tags in Briggs. Briggs hits quick moves. He tags in Jensen for a double team move but Jensen is slow to respond. Sanga tags in and hits a chokeslam on Jensen. Veer boots Briggs off the apron before hitting a Million Dollar lariat on Jensen to get the pinfall.

Winner – Indus Sher

After the match, Jinder Mahal challenges NXT Tag Team Champions Gallus to face Indus Sher at Roadblock next week.


During the break, Katana Chance ran in asking for the Doctor team to come with her to check on Wendy Choo. Choo is down on the floor outside the building. Doctor checks on Choo as she clutches her shoulder.


Toxic Attraction’s music hits as Gigi Dolin comes out. She says this is the last time we will hear Toxic’s music. Her life changed when she got her head smashed into a door frame, but this isn’t the first time her life has changed or that she’s had her head kicked in by someone she trusted. Jacy’s kick made her realize what really Jacy is. Toxic Attraction was only about superficial things, but it also helped her to work on her insecurities since it was fun to be the mean girl for a while, and she channeled her inner demons because she’s always been happy to just survive.

Gigi continues to tell us the story about how she was punching bag for her mother and she ran away from home as a teenager. She wanted to make it in WWE to show her younger brother that they can make it on her own. She has been knocked down time and time again and she gets back up every time. She will put the final nail in the coffin of Toxic Attraction next week at Roadblock.


Duke Hudson is backstage at Chase U. Thea Hail comes in and Duke checks on her. Andre Chase was about start his lecture when Schism’s video starts playing on the screen in the classroom. Schism talk trash about Chase U. When the video ends, Andre Chase says he will give Joe Gacy a Chase U style a## whooping next week at Roadblock.

Zoey Stark vs Meiko Satomura

Satomura starts with a headlock. Stark kips up to break free. Satomura hits quick kicks after some show of strength between them. Satomura keeps Stark under control with more kicks, leg sweeps and a double knee strike to midsection. Satomura hits more combination attack. Stark avoids a corner splash and a kick to midsection. Stark hits a low clothesline and takes Satomura to the floor. Satomura drops her with a clothesline on the floor. We cut to a break.

Stark hits knees to Satomura’s face. Zoey springboards but Satomura hits her with a kick to her knees. Both women are down. They trade strikes as they get up. Satomura hits more sidekicks before a corner tackle. Satomura hits a splash from the top to get a two-count. Satomura hits more sidekicks. Satomura misses a handspring knee drop as Zoey moves away.

Stark hits a springboard splash to get a two-count. Stark goes to the top and Satomura brings her down. Satomura hits belly to back suplex next to get a two-count. Stark fights off a side headlock. More back and forth action before Satomura drops Stark with a Death Valley Driver and hits a Scorpion kick to get the pinfall.

Winner – Meiko Satomura

After the match, Roxanne Perez gets into the ring for a brief staredown.


We see how Grayson Waller took over the broadcast last week to tell Shawn Michaels to come to Roadblock for Grayson Waller effect.

Sol Ruca vs Elektra Lopez

Ruca starts with a side headlock. Lopez breaks free and hits an arm drag. She puts on an arm wringer before slamming Ruca to the mat to block her counter. Ruca uses her athleticism to come out from the corner and hits a bulldog. More kicks from Ruca before Lopez pushes her off the top.

Lopez hits knees to the back and an elbow drop. Ruca gets up and they trade strikes. Back and forth action continues until Lopez goes searching for her knuckles in the corner. Valentina Feroz has taken them away though. Ruca hits Sol Snatcher to get the pinfall.

Winner – Sol Ruca

Katana Chance vs Tiffany Stratton

Chance starts with a takedown. She puts on a side headlock. Stratton blocks a hurricanrana and drops Chance on the ropes with a back body drop from an electric chair position. Stratton puts her in a stretch. Chance hits an upkick to break free. Chance hits some quick moves including a hurricanrana, a double stomp on the back and split-legged drop. Chance goes to the top when Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn come out to the ramp. Stratton catches Chance’s crossbody and hits her with body slam. Stratton hits a moonsault to get the pinfall.

Winner – Tiffany Stratton

After the match, Stratton takes the mic and says she has proven the best woman in NXT, but she wants to be the NXT Women’s Champion. She fires a warning to Meiko Satomura and Roxanne Perez that whoever walks out as champion will have to face her.

Axiom vs Hank Walker

Axiom puts on a choke by jumping off Walker’s back. Walker slams Axiom into the corner. Axiom slaps Walker and it enrages him. Axiom avoids a suplex before Walker hits him with a big boot. Axiom hits a shoulder tackle. Walker tosses him away with a body slam. Axiom comes back with some chops and a dropkick. He hits a running knee in the corner and crossbody from the top.

Axiom hits a few running kicks to Walker’s chest. He hits some forearm shots before Walker hits him with a big tackle off the ropes. Walker hits corner splashes before hitting a lariat. Axiom gets a two-count in an inside cradle. Axiom hits a ripcord knee and roundhouse kick. Axiom hits Golden Ratio to get the pinfall.

Winner – Axiom

Carmelo Hayes vs Tyler Bate

Bate starts with an arm drag after an arm wringer. Another arm wringer from Bate. Hayes rolls over to reverse it. Bate changes it into a hammerlock. Hayes hits an arm drag after breaking free. They trade a bunch of pin attempts and Bate almost gets a pinfall. They block each other’s moves before Bate hits a few uppercuts. He hits a back body drop, a hurricanrana and a dropkick to send Hayes to the floor. Bate hits a suicide dive to take us to a break.

Hayes is in control as we return. Bate counters with a knee strike in the corner and hits a crossbody. Bate drops Trick Williams off the apron when he tries to interefere. Bate hits an uppercut and a standing shooting star press. Hayes gets a pin attempt before hitting a pump kick. Bate puts him in an Airplane spin before hitting a Death Valley Driver for a two-count.

Hayes catches his leg but Bate kicks him away and follows up with a springboard clothesline for another two-count. Hayes sends him into the corner before they trade shots. Hayes hits uppercuts and chops. Hayes hits a hammerlock twisting slam. He hits a pump kick and cutter to get a two-count. Hayes goes to the top but Bate joins him and hits a superplex. Williams gets on the apron once again and Bate kicks him away.

Bate goes for a shooting star press but Hayes gets away. Hayes hits double knees and then hits a leg drop from the top to get the pinfall.

Winner – Carmelo Hayes
