WWE NXT 2.0 Results August 30, 2022, Live Updates
Welcome to the WWE NXT 2.0 live results blog for August 30, 2022 episode which will be the go-home episode for NXT Worlds Collide 2022 event.
Diamond Mine’s Creed Brothers and Damon Kamp will take on Gallus in a big six-man tag team match in a prequel to Worlds Collide. NXT UK Tag Team Championship Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen will team up with Fallon Henley to take on Pretty Deadly and Lash Legends. Apollo Crews will face Grayson Waller in a singles match.
NXT Women’s Champions Katana Chance and Kayden Carter will face Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley. Also, expect matches to be announced for North American Champion Carmelo Hayes and others for Worlds Collide as well as more build-up towards the show.

Live Updates
Grayson Waller vs Apollo Crews
They start with a lockup. Crews puts on a side headlock, which leads to an armdrag after some tussle. Crews slams his head into the turnbuckle a couple of times. He sends Waller flying with a back-body drop. Waller tries to come back but Crews nails him with a big dropkick. Crews showboats a bit before keeping Waller in air for a long time with a delayed vertical suplex. Waller rakes his eyes, causing medical team to come out and check on Crews. We cut to a break.
Waller is in control as we return. Waller hits an elbow drop from the top during the break. Crews starts to hit back with some punches. Waller goes for a rear naked choke but Crews stops him from getting the grip. Waller slams his face to the mat to get a two-count. Crews hits a few clotheslines to make momentum. He hits a neckbreaker from the top. Waller rakes his eyes again and hits a stunner to get the pin.
Winner – Apollo Crews
We get a video package for Meiko Satomura’s long pro wrestling career.
Diamond Mine’s Creed Brothers and Damon Kamp are training backstage and are pumped for tonight’s match against Gallus. Roderick Strong comes in and tries to convince them that they can trust him. They tell him to go away. Ivy Nile comes in and berates them for losing focus.
Tatum Paxley & Ivy Nile vs Kayden Carter & Katana Chance
Carter and Nile start. Nile starts with a couple of waistlock takedowns. They trade pin attempts before Carter takes Nile to her corner. Quick tags from Carter and Chance in the corner. Nile takes control back against Carter to some double-team work with Paxley. Paxley hits a suplex and running senton to get a two-count. She hits a dropkick. Carter comes back with a dropkick of her own to get a two-count.
Chance trips Paxley and Carter hits another dropkick to get a two-count. Paxley blocks a hurricanrana. Chance and Paxley drop each other with clothesline at the same time. Carter comes in. Nile is pulled from the apron by Gigi Dolin. Jacy Jayne distracts Paxley. Nile goes to deal with Toxic Attraction when Chance and Carter hit a senton/neckbreaker combo to get the pin.
Winner – Kayden Carter & Katana Chance
After the match, Chance and Carter say that they have beaten all the teams in NXT, and there is no one to challenge them from NXT UK. So, they will throw a party in parking lot this Sunday. Doudrop’s music hits and she comes out to the stage. Nikki ASH follows her out shortly. They enter the ring and challenge Carter and Chance for the titles at Worlds Collide. The challenge is accepted.
Kiana James is in her office and talks trash about her opponent tonight, Zoey Stark.
We get a video package for Joe Gacy and Cameron Grimes.
After the break, Joe Gacy is in the ring with Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid. He praises them for beating Legado Del Fantasma last week which is a fractured family. He gives them a couple of smiley badges to appreciate their work. Cameron Grimes comes out. He tells Gacy that he did not come out for celebration. Schism has been asking him to join them and he has an answer. The more he thinks about it, the more it becomes clear that he does not need them to go to the Moon. Gacy says the loneliness is killing him and there is only suffering and misery underneath. Grimes was leaving but Gacy brings up his dad. Grimes attacks them and sends Dyad to the floor. Gacy hugs him, which spirals Grimes. Dyad returns but Gacy stops them from attack. Grimes runs off.
Roxanne Perez gets a video package about losing to Cora Jade last week and learning her lesson.
Tyler Bate gets a call from Butch(Pete Dunne) who tells him to do it for the history of NXT UK and for the future of NXT Europe.
Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs & Brooks Hensen vs Kit Wilson, Elton Prince & Lash Legends – Mixed Tag Team Match
Lash and Henley start. Lash flicks at Henley who replies with a tackle. Lash hits a slam and starts to beat her up around. Henley clotheslines her to the floor and hits a diving crossbody. Wilson tags in and Henley nails him with a punch. Briggs comes in and hits a manhattan drop and a shoulder tackle on Briggs. Prince comes in but Briggs counters with another manhattan drop. Jensen comes in for some double team. Briggs helps Henley to drop Lash to the floor and then helps her to hit the opponent trio with a crossbody. We cut to a break.
Pretty Deadly are working with double team on Briggs as we return. This continues for a while. Wilson and Lash take cheap shots at Briggs as Prince keeps the referee distracted. Wilson tags in and hits uppercuts. Briggs fires back with some uppercuts. Wilson keeps control and puts on a sleeper choke. Briggs gets up and throws Wilson out, but Prince has taken a bling tag to stop him from tagging out. Briggs throws him away and tags in Jense.
Jensen hits punches, atomic drop, and senton. A crossbody from both at the same time as both men are down. Jensen sends Prince to the floor but Gallus comes out to cause a distration. Joe Coffey’s big boot leads to Wilson getting a pin over Jensen with a roll-up.
Winner – Kit Wilson, Elton Prince & Lash Legends
The brawling and chaos continue after the match.
Shayna Baszler goes to NXT Champion Mandy Rose and talks to her about winning the unified NXT women’s title to keep its legacy alive.
Charlie Dempsey vs Andre Chase
Dempsey starts with a takedown and puts on headscissors. Chase reverses with a headscissor of his own. Dempsey gets a pin attempt after a backslide. He hits a monkey flip. Chase hits a monkey flip himself. Chase hits an armdrag and tells Dempsey that it is a teachable moment. Dempsey nails him with big punches and uppercuts. He hits a modified suplex to get a two-count. He then puts on a submission.
Chase nails him with punches and tackles him to the mat to stomp on him for a while. Chase hits an Urinage but Dempsey quickly puts him in an armbar. Dempsey changes into a knee bar and and then into a crossface. Bodhi Hayward encourages Chase to get to the ropes. Dempsey does not like it and attacks Hayward on the floor. Chase counters as he gets back to the ring and gets the pinfall.
Winner – Andre Chase
NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura is backstage where Alba Fyre comes to her. Satomura says she won the title from a great champion. Fyre tells her to win on Sunday.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther catches up with Tyler Bate and tells him how he is the longest reigning NXT UK Champion. Gunther tells Bate to win the unified title on Sunday.
Zoey Stark vs Kiana James
They shove each other to start. Stark sends James to the corner and hits quick moves. James moves to the floor and Stark hits her with a dive. James boots Stark in the corner as they return to the ring. James slams her head to the mat to get a two-count. James works on Stark’s arm for a while. They trade punches in the middle. James slams her back to the mat and hits a standing moonsault to get a two-count. Stark hits a superkick and then hits flipping facebreaker to get the pin.
Winner – Zoey Stark
James goes to attack Stark after the match, but Nikkita Lyons cuts her off with a spear. James runs away from the ring.
Blair Davenport is backstage for an interview. She says no one has unified NXT and NXT UK Women’s Championship ever, but she will do it at Worlds Collide. Rhea Ripley appears and says she is the only women to hold both of those titles, and tells Davenport to not screw up the title unification.
Nathan Frazer and Axiom are backstage reading comic books. Frazer says it’s a shame that Axiom never experienced NXT UK and Heritage cup. Axiom wonders if there is a way their worlds could collide. Axiom proposes a best of 3 falls match. Frazer agrees.
Diamond Mine(Julius Creed, Brutus Creed & Damon Kamp) vs Gallus(Wolfgang, Joe Coffey & Mark Coffey)
Joe Coffey starts against Julius Creed. Julius takes him down with waistlocks. Joe answers with punches. Brutus tags in an overhead slam. Joe hits an uppercut and brings in Mark. Brutus hits big blows on him before hitting a gutwrench suplex. Kamp tags in and hits a fallaway slam after eating an uppercut. Wolfgang tags in and puts on an armwrench to unload on Kamp’s back. Kamp hits back with some slams of his own. Everyone gets into the ring and Diamond Mine take Gallus down with double legs to unload for a while. Gallus escape to the floor to take us to a break.
Joe has Brutus under control. Brutus hits a back body drop and tags in Julius. Julius hits a tackle and a suplex. Joe goes for an inside cradle and Julius hits a deadlift suplex from that position. Gallus pulls Mark out of the ring. Julius brings him back but Mark trips him on the apron. Mark tags in and hits an Urinage to get a two-count. Joe comes in and hits knee strikes. Joe keeps Julius under control for a while. Wolfgang comes in for a hip attack.
Julius fights back with back elbows and tags in Kamp. Joe tags in from the other side and runs into a hot Kamp. Kamp drops Joe a few times before hitting him with a clothesline. Roderick Strong is out to the ringside and is trying to tell them about the new evidence he has. Kamp throws away his phone and stomps on it. Mark takes a blind tag and hits Kamp with a lariat to get the pin.
Winner – Gallus
Strong is still trying to get into the ring, but he is held back by the security. Pretty Deadly and Brooks & Jensen also run to the ring to start a mele. More people from the locker room enter the brawl.
Bron Breakker is backstage when Ciampa comes in. Ciampa says no time in NXT was better than his time with Goldy. He hypes Breakker to add to unify the titles and add to his legacy.
Quincy Elliot cuts a promo backstage introducing himself. He says everyone how knows him actually does not know anything about him. He is “The Super Diva” Quincy Elliot.
Who will Step Up to Carmelo Hayes?
Carmelo Hayes comes out to the ring with Trick Williams. Williams says Melo puts out banger after banger every week, but he is not booked for Worlds Collide. Hayes says he is still trying to figure out how he is left out of Worlds Collide. He calls all this talk about unification as sh-t. He announces he will not be at World Collide since no one is as his level and not even a level below him. The lights go out before Ricochet’s music hits. Ricochet comes out now and Melo is surprised. Ricochet enters the ring and Melo takes a shot at him saying if Ricochet can use it.
Ricochet tells Melo and Williams to shut up for the sake of fans. He wonders why Worlds Collide has to be only about NXT and NXT UK. He wants to add Smackdown to it also. Ricochet says he does things better in the ring that him. Melo takes offense and says Ricochet is one of many to get stepped upon. Ricochet takes a shot at Melo saying that he does not remember any of his title defense being a good match. So, he is here to give fans a match that they can remember. He challenges for a title match at Worlds Collide. Williams tries to attack but Ricochet nails him with a spinning kick. He then catches Hayes with recoil. Ricochet hands Melo the title as the show closes.
