WWE NXT May 9, 2023 Preview & Match Card
WWE NXT episode of May 9, 2023 is set to feature the start of Women’s Championship tournament to crown the new champion as the show builds up towards NXT Battleground 2023 event.

Women’s Championship Tournament
Indi Hartwell relinquished the NXT Women’s Championship last week after she was drafted to RAW brand. The tournament to crown the new champion will start this week. NXT is yet to announced the tournament bracket but we can expect to see Tiffany Stratton, Roxanne Perez, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne, Lyra Valkyrie, Kiana James, Ivy Nile and Cora Jade to be the one to be involved in the tournament.
Tag Team Title Match
The Dyad were unable to win NXT Tag Team Championship from Gallus during a triple threat match a few weeks back when Gallus boys were able to pin The Creed Brothers for the win. Last week, Joe Gacy earned another title shot for them after beating Joe Coffey, the third member of Gallus. Will the Dyad be able to take advantage of this title shot?
Dijak vs Ilja Dragunov
Dijak has picked up a rivalry with Ilja Dragunov who claimed that he feels bliss in pain, and Dijak is hell-bent on making him feel special. After a confrontation a fews weeks ago, Dijak attacked Dragunov backstage two weeks back. Dijak said in a promo last week that he left some of Dragunov to finish off this week. Will he be able to accomplish that mission?
Trick Williams vs Bron Breakker
Trick Williams was furios with Bron Breakker for his unprovoked attacks in the past few weeks. But it was Breakker himself who said that he would like to finish off Williams first before taking on accepting the challenge from Carmelo Hayes for a rematch at NXT Battleground. Williams got some words of encouragement last week from Apollo Crews also who lauded him for his star qualities and his devotion towards Hayes. Will he be handle Breakker’s sheer power though?
