WWE NXT May 17, 2022 Results & Live Updates(Preview & Card)

WWE NXT 2.0 episode of May 17, 2022, will feature a battle for the “family” supremacy and will also continue the NXT Women’s Breakout tournament. The event will air from its usual venue of WWE Performance Center.
Santos Escobar will collide against Tony D’Angelo in the battle for family supremacy. Cameron Grimes will join forces with Solo Sikoa to take on the team of Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams. The Creed Brothers will face the Viking Raiders in a rematch from the NXT Spring Breakin’ event.

Live Updates
Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams vs Solo Sikoa & Cameron Grimes
Williams and Hayes say a couple of lines about their opponents before they make their entrances. Sikoa and Grimes refuse to get caught off gaurd. Sikoa hits senton and corner tackle on Williams before bring ing Grimes for kicks and a basement dropkick. Williams takes out Grimes’ knees and Hayes comes in to hit a springboard crossbody. Hayes quickly tags out when Grimes brings in Sikoa. Sikoa bursts out with quick moves against Williams. Hayes runs a distraction and takes a cheap shot to take over control. We cut to a break.
Williams is in control against Sikoa as we return. Sikoa avoids him in the corner and tags in Grimes. Grimes unloads with running forearms and hits a double headscissors to send both opponents to the floor. He hits a penalty kick from the apron on Williams. Grimes hits a crossbody on Hayes as they return to the ring. Sikoa hits an Urinage on Hayes after tagging in blindly. Grimes cuts off Williams with Cave-In while Sikoa hits a frog splash to get the pin on Hayes.
Winners – Solo Sikoa & Cameron Grimes
After the match, Sikoa takes the North American title out of the referee’s hand before handing it to Grimes and tells the champion that he is next. Grimes holds the title in the air to close the segment.
NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly are backstage for an interview. They wonder why everyone is afraid of the Creed Brothers, and believe that the Viking Raiders will soften them up tonight before their title match at NXT TakeOver: In Your House.
Lash Legends vs Tatum Paxley – NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament First Round Match
Legends hits a back elbow just as the bell rings. Paxley puts on a choke using her legs. She hits low dropkicks to the knee and then the face. She tries to pick up Legends on her shoulders but Legends is too big for her. Legends starts to work on her leg. She puts Paxley in a stretch muffler submission. Paxley comes out of it with a headscissor. A bit of back and forth before Legends hits a pump kick to get the pin.
Winner – Lash Legends
Tony D’Angelo cuts a promo backstage with his two guys, talking about how he is gonna take Santos Escobar out tonight. He goes on admit to various past beating ups and other crimes.
Duke Hudson is backstage for an interview. He says he has to take a few weeks break to clear his mind. There is no one in NXT to measure upto him. Bron Breakker enters crashing something and screams to hit his music.
Breakker talks about Gacy asking him to join his group. Breakker says Gacy should have finished him before because he will beat him unconcious at In Your House. Gacy appears on the top platform and says many infuriating things. He ends announcing a stipulation for their match at In Your House – if Breakker loses by disqualification, he loses the NXT title.
Indi Hartwell is backstage and is not happy how her stocks have dropped suddenly. But, she is glad that there is no tag team partner or life partner beside her. She calls out Mandy Rose and challenges her for a match.
Wes Lee is backstage and is dissappointed that Xyon Quinn is not medically cleared. Natahn Frazer comes in and offers to have a match. Lee says the time is not right as there is a lot of pent up aggression. Frazer says he is up for the challenge.
The Creed Brothers(Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) vs The Viking Raiders(Erik & Ivar)
Julius starts against Ivar and knocks off Erik from the apron. Creed Brothers double team on Ivar to send him to the floor. Erik tags in after The Vikings throw some tantrum. Erik hits a running forearm to drop Julius. He puts on lock on ankle to keep Julius under control for a while. Ivar tags in for a big clothesline.
Erik comes in and Julius escapes to tag in Brutus. Brutus tackles Erik before knocking off Ivar. Brutus hits a spinebuster on Erik. Ivar comes in but Brutus puts him on the top turnbuckle. Julius hits Ivar with a dropkick on the top to send him tumbling to the floor. Brutus hits a crossbody on both opponents to take us to the break.
The Creed Brothers are in control against Erik. Erik fights back from the corner. Julius and Ivar tag in. Ivar goes to plummet Julius with quick clotheslines and elbow strikes. Erik tags in and Creed Brothers double team to drop him with a spinebuster. Erik sends Brutus to the floor and tags in Ivar. Ivar hits a body slam from the second rope. Brutus breaks the pin. Erik hits a German suplex on Brutus.
Ivar misses a splash on Julius. Julius rolls up Ivar but Erik breaks the pin. Both teams face off briefly before engaging in a brawl. Roderick Strong tries to assist the Creed Brothers but Julius stops him. Erik and Ivar hit double chokeslam on Julius to get the pin.

Some argument in the Diamond Mine over Julius stopping Strong’s involvement.
Bron Breakker is in the parking lot where he gets interviewed. He says Gacy’s actions are the opposite of his talk of acceptance and inclusion, and as long as he has the title, Joe can’t do a damn thing. Duke Hudson comes up and says if Bron disrespects him again he will not going to make it to In Your House. They settle for a match next week.
Grayson Waller vs Andre Chase
Waller starts with punches and knee strikes. Chase hits back with a neckbreaker and a few punches of his own. Waller kicks at his chest to drop him. He hits a suplex to get a two-count. Chase hits a back elbow and a single leg dropkick. Waller sweeps him with a leg lariat. Chase catalpults him into the corner. He starts to build some momentum and stomps on Waller on the mat. He ended up sending Waller into Bodhi on the floor with a back body drop. Chase goes and checks on Bodhi. As he returns, Waller catches him with a cutter to get the pin.
Winner – Grayson Waller
Toxic Attraction are backstage and are talking about being the target always. They come to conclusion that there is not enough respect in Toxic Attraction’s name and they need to change that. Mandy says it will start next week with Indi Hartwell.
Roxxane Perez vs Kiana James – NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament First Round Match
James starts with a waistlock takedown and steps over Perez’s back. Perez hits back with a drop toe hold, an arm drag and a dropkick. James avoids her in the corner and hits big blows to her back. James puts on a back stretch breifly. She looks for Boston Crab but Perez kicks her away. James works on Perez some more and puts on the Boston Crab. Perez counters it with a roll-up. James hits a backbreaker for a two-count. Perez hits a headscissors. She starts to fight back with running forearms and gets a two-count after a Thesz press. James hits a sidewalk slam for another two-count. Perez counters in the corner with a Code Red to get the pin and the win.

Nathan Frazer vs Wes Lee
They hit armdrags after initial arm wringers and chinlocks. Both men go for quick pin attempts before coming to still. Lee sends Frazer to the floor and hits a suicide dive. Frazer hits a suicide of his own. Back to the ring, Lee hits an enzuigiri and bridged German suplex for a two-count. Frazer hits an enzuigiri on the top turnbuckle. Lee counters a superplex to get a close two-count. Frazer rocks him with a big superkick. Lee avoids the moonsault before both men crash in the middle of the ring as they both go for crossbody. Von Wagner attacks Frazer to cause a DQ.
Winner – Nathan Frazer
Lee tries to fight Wagner but Wagner hits him with a big boot. Wagner goes on to throw Lee onto the announce table from the ring.
Tony D’Angelo vs Santos Escobar
Tony hits a body shot to start. Escobar takes him down but struggles to keep him down. Tony hits a back elbow to drop him and unloads with more punches. He hits a neckbreaker on the ropes after Escobar lands on the apron. He hits another neckbreaker in the ring. A step-up enzuigiri from Escobar sends Tony to the floor. Tony cuts off the suicide dive on the ropes to take us to the break.
Tony has Escobar in a shoulder stretch. More body shots follow before Escobar hits a couple of dropkicks. He hits a suicide dive now. Tony is sent into the steel steps before they return to the ring. Escobar works on the arm before hitting a dropkick. He puts on an arm and shoulder stretch once again. Tony hits back with rights and clotheslines. He hits a trio of belly to back suplexes.
Escobar avoids more moves. They end up on the top rope and Escobar hits a headscissors takedown from there. Tony is searching for his tool but Legado has already removed it. Tony’s goons attack Legado. Escobar takes a knuckle shot at Tony and gets the pin.

Santos Escobar vs Tony D’Angelo: Legado Del Fantasma and D’Angelo’s crew have been feuding for weeks. Both the factions abducted the other one’s member. Now, Santos Escobar and Tony D’Angelo finally decide to settle their dispute, and hence they will face each other in a singles match.
The Creed Brothers vs Viking Raiders: Roderick Strong helped the Creed Brothers in getting a win over Viking Raiders at NXT Spring Breakin’. But, the Creed Brothers want to win fair and square and hence they will face the Viking Raiders in a rematch.
Solo Sikoa & Cameron Grimes vs Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams: Grimes & Sikoa might face each other in the future for the North American title, but first, the two will combine forces to face the troubling pair of Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams in a tag-team match.
