WWE recently held a house show event in Toronto on December 29, but it came at Coca-Cola Coliseum. The last WWE event at Scotiabank Arena was August 18, 2023 edition of SmackDown, which featured Edge beating Sheamus in his last match in WWE.
This is the second year in a row that Money in the Bank PLE will air from outside United States. 2023 edition of MITB aired from The O2 Arena in London, UK. This is the first time that it will air from Canada.
The show will feature men and women Money in the Bank ladder matches which provides winners a shot at any of WWE’s World titles for the next year anytime, anywhere. Money in the Bank has become one of the most popular WWE PLEs in the past few years and has surpassed the popularity of Survivor Series which is one of the big 4 WWE PLEs.
NXT Heatwave has been weekly TV special so far and 2024 edition will be the first time that it will air as a PLE. 2 NXT TV specials took place in the month of August in the last two years.
