WWE King & Queen of the Ring 2024 Results, Live Updates
Welcome to the live results blog for WWE King & Queen of the Ring 2024 event which will be live from Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
We will see the new King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring being crowned. Gunther and Randy Orton are set to clash for the crown in the final in the men’s side. Nia Jax and Lyra Valkyrie will clash in the women’s tournament for Queen’s crown.
Cody Rhodes is set to defend Undisputed WWE Championship against Logan Paul. Becky Lynch defends Women’s World title against Liv Morgan. Sami Zayn, Chad Gable and Bronson Reed are set to fight over Intercontinental title.
WWE Women’s Tag Team title match is added to the pre-show with Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill defending the titles against Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell. Tune in below for the complete results and live updates from WWE King & Queen of the Ring 2024 event.
RESULTS
- Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill(c) defeated Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell in a tag team match via pinfall to retain WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
- Liv Morgan defeated Becky Lynch(c) in a singles match via pinfall to retain Women’s World Championship.
- Sami Zayn(c) defeated Chad Gable & Bronson Reed in a Triple Threat Match via pinfall to retain WWE Intercontinental Championship.
- Nia Jax defeated Lyra Valkyrie in Queen of the Ring 2024 Final Match via pinfall.
- Gunther defeated Randy Orton in King of the Ring 2024 Final Match via pinfall.
- Cody Rhodes(c) defeated Logan Paul in a singles match via pinfall to retain Undisputed WWE Championship.
LIVE UPDATES
Cody Rhodes’s arrival footage opened the countdown show. We then cut to a special video package for the event. We see the arrivals of Lyra Valkyrie, Nia Jax, Gunther and Randy Orton. We cut to the countdown show panel – Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Big E and Wade Barrett. Big E is asked about Xavier Woods winning the King of the Ring in 2021. Byron Saxton reports from outside Gunther’s locker room while Kayla Braxton does the same from outside Randy Orton’s room.
The panel go through the match card before we cut to an interview with Cody Rhodes. Cody talked about this record-breaking period WWE and dismissed Logan Paul having any chance to beat him tonight. Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair are interviewed backstage. Jade is excited about her first PLE in Saudi Arabia and says they will retain the titles with ease. Bianca says her knee is not at 100%. She adds that Candice started all this and tonight she will beat her to end this.
Wade Barrett takes us through the bracket of Queen of the Ring and how we got to the final between Lyra and Nia. Lyra is getting interviewed, where she talks about how good his first month on RAW has gone and warns Nia that all the women on RAW also thought that they could budge through her, but that did not happen. Triple H gets interviewed next and he hypes the final matches tonight. Kevin Owens and Kayla Braxton joined the countdown show.
We see part 2 of Cody Rhodes’ interview. We see KO bickering about Logan some more. Liv Morgan is interviewed next. She talks about her revenge tour. She gets surprised seeing Dominik Mysterio coming. Dominik told her that he has come all the way to Saudi Arabia to make sure that Liv does not get her hands on Mami’s title.
Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill(c) vs Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
Jade starts against Indi. Indi goes for a waistlock but Jade throws her away with ease. Indi runs the ropes. Jade misses her a couple of times before catching her with a fallaway slam. Jade hits a body slam before Belair tags in to get dropped over Indi. Indi runs away to tag in Candice. Candice goes for Bianca’s leg but Bianca avoids getting caught and hits a slam. Candice is thrown in the corner before Bianca hits a tackle. Bianca goes for a bench press slam but her gives up.
Indi tags in. Bianca goes for slam her face but Candice takes her knee out from behind. Indi starts to work on Bianca’s leg. She mocks Bianca by slinging her braids. Indi kicks at her leg again when Bianca tries to tackle her. Candice and Indi cut the ring in half for Bianca as they continue to work on her leg. Bianca kicks Candice away but Indi knocks Jade off the apron to block the tag. Bianca kicks Indi away before Candice tries to choke her. Bianca dumps her into the ring before going past Indi to tag in Jade.
Jade hits slams on both opponents before hitting corner splashes. She hits a powerbomb on Indi but Candice breaks the pinfall. Indi hits Jade with a dropkick from behind before Candice hits a leg drop on the ropes to get a near fall. Jade pushes Indi out of the ring before Candice hits a missile dropkick but that sends Jade into Bianca who tags in. Bianca takes out Candice’s knee with a chop block. Bianca and Jade hit a DDT and Suplex combo to get the pinfall on Candice.

We get a special video package for Drew McIntyre. Logan Paul is interviewed backstage and takes offense over Cody Rhodes’ comments against him.
We once again see the arrivals of Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Gunther and others before the special video package airs. Becky Lynch makes her entrance first.
Becky Lynch(c) vs Liv Morgan – Women’s World Championship
They start shoving each other as the bell rings. The referee has to separate them. Becky gets a waistlock takedown. She gets more shots going before hitting a leg lariat. Liv is dropped to the floor. Becky follows her out and Liv slams her face into the barricade and the apron. Becky hits uppercuts on the ropes when Liv is coming into the ring. Becky gets to the top but Liv trips her.
Liv gets control of the match and unloads on Becky in the corner. Becky escapes the corner after a while and hits a springboard kick. Liv runs her over to take control again. Liv gets more takedowns. Becky hits a big boot. Liv quickly counters and gets a two-count. Liv puts on an arm stretch. Becky escapes it with an armdrag.
Becky tries to create momentum. She drops Liv with a clothesline. They trade big shots. Liv seems to be getting better of Becky but Becky hits a clothesline. She hits a forearm in the corner before a bexploder suplex. Liv goes to the floor and Becky hits her with forearm off the apron. Back to the ring, Liv trips Becky on the top rope. Liv goes to the top but Becky sends her down and hits a missile dropkick.
Liv hits a big right followed by a Codebreaker but Becky breaks the pinfall. Becky avoids an attack in the corner before setting up Liv with some kicks. Liv avoids a jump off the top and hits missile dropkick herself. Becky blocks Oblivion and gets a two-count herself. Liv blocks the Manhandle Slam but Becky also counters the roll-up to get a two-count. Liv hits a running knee to get another near fall.
Becky blocks an armdrag and gets Liv in an armbar. Liv counters it into Rings of Saturn submission. Becky counters with a pinning combination before Liv counters with the submission again. Becky breaks it in the second attempt. Becky puts on disarmher on Liv. Dominik Mysterio appears near the commentary table. Becky gets distracted and lets go off Liv. Becky shouts at Dominik to get out of there.
Liv counters the Manhandle Slam into Oblivion to get another near fall. Liv goes to the top. Becky hits her with a superplex. Dominik slips in a steel chair for Becky and goes to distract the referee. Liv takes advantage of the chair herself as she drops Becky’s head on top of it. Liv then clears the chair from the top and hits Oblivion to get the pinfall.
Winner – Liv Morgan
Dominik Mysterio is distraught as Liv celebrates her title win.
Sami Zayn(c) vs Chad Gable vs Bronson Reed – Triple Threat Match for WWE Intercontinental Championship
Chad Gable comes out first. He has Otis with him but tells Maxxine Dupri to return from the stage itself. Quick action to start the match. Reed drops Sami before taking Gable to the floor. Sami jumps on Reed on the floor. Sami takes Gable back to the ring and hits punches from the second rope. He hits a clothesline from the second rope. Reed runs over Sami. Reed them takes down both opponents in one go. He hits a headbutt next. Sami trips Reed in the corner. Gable attacks Sami from the apron before tripping him and trapping him in the apron. Gable hits a dropkick on Reed.
Sami throws both opponents to the floor and hits a wheelhouse dive. Back to the ring, Sami counters Reed on the ropes to hit a sunset flip powerbomb to get a two-count. Reed proves too big for Sami to hit a blue thunderbomb. Gable hits a chop block on Reed’s knee. Gable goes for a superplex but Reed picks them up to complete a Tower of Doom. Reed misses a moonsault on Sami. Gable hits a moonsault on Reed but Sami breaks the pin. Gable puts Sami in an ankle lock. Reed comes to break it but Gable puts him in ankle lock. Sami then puts Gable in an ankle lock.
Reed charges towards Sami only for him to get hit with a blue thunderbomb for a near fall. Sami and Reed fight in the corner. Reed hits them with corner splash before hitting both of them with a Samoan Drop. He hits a dive on both opponents on the floor. He goes for Tsunami in the ring but Sami moves out. Sami goes for Helluva Kick but Gable hits him with a couple of German suplexes. Sami blocks the third suplex before hitting a couple of suplexes himself. Reed comes and grabs Sami. Gable breaks free from Sami and comes behind Reed to hit German suplex on both Reed and Sami.
Otis runs over Reed with a big tackle on the floor on Gable’s instructions. Gable then throws Sami to the floor but Otis gets conflicted over attacking Sami. Gable then goes to hold Sami and provokes Otis to hit him. Otis takes a running start but stops before attacking Sami. Gable then slaps Otis to provoke him. Otis ends up running over Gable as he was going for Sami. Sami then hits Reed with Helluva kick to get the pinfall.
Winner – Sami Zayn
Byron Saxton interviews WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair backstage. They show excitement on their win tonight and are ready for whomever their next challengers are.
Nia Jax vs Lyra Valkyrie – Queen of the Ring 2024 Final Match
Lyra comes out with a wings costume. Lyra goes for a crucifix right away but fails to get her down. Nia tries to throw her to the corner but Lyra does a cartwheel to avoid getting slammed. Nia stands her ground when Lyra goes for a drop toe hold. Nia slams her to the corner before throwing her to the floor. Lyra fights back as they return to the ring. Nia blocks a DDT but Lyra blocks a slam. Nia slams her to the mat finally before hitting a big tackle in the corner.
Nia continues to manhandle Lyra for a few minutes. Lyra tries to fight back but Nia shuts her down quickly and continues the punishment. She wrestles her down to the mat in a choke. Lyra gets back to her feet and hits elbows. This angers Nia who slams Lyra to the mat in anger. Lyra hits some kicks, punches and an enzuigiri. Nia hits a Samoan drop to get a two-count.
Nia goes for the A-Nia-Hallator but Lyra gets to the apron. Nia goes for a hip drop on the apron but Lyra moves out of the way again, and Nia drops on the apron. Lyra hits baseball slide to knock Nia to the floor. Lyra hits a DDT on the floor. Back to the ring, Lyra hits a running dropkick and a tornado DDT to get a two-count.
Lyra tweaks her knee as Nia moves out of the way. Nia sets up for A-Nia-Hallator again but Lyra hits a dropkick to her knees. Lyra hits a dropkick from the top rope to get a near fall. Lyra gets frustrated. Lyra goes for the Nightwing but fails to get Nia up. Nia sends her to the corner and hits a corner splash. Nia looks for a Samoan drop from the top rope but Lyra slips out. Nia turns it into a A-Nia-Hallator to get the pinfall.
Winner – Nia Jax
Nia Jax gets crowned in the ring. Kayla Braxton gets in the ring for an interview. Nia cuts her off and says she knows nobody is happy for her, but she is happy for herself, and she would become WWE Women’s Champion at SummerSlam.
Gunther vs Randy Orton – King of the Ring 2024 Final Match
Gunther enters first. Randy Orton gets serranted by the crowd in his entrance. Randy takes a lot of time before entering the ring as he plays mind games. They lock up once Orton gets into the ring. Gunther puts Orton in the corner before the referee calls for the break. Orton targets the arm as they lock up once again. The lock up and break sequence continues for a while. Orton gets Gunther grounded with a side headlock after another lock up. Gunther’s frustration grows with each passing second as Orton is able to keep him grounded.
Gunther gets to his feet and back Orton in the corner. The referee goes to break them up but Gunther hits a big chop in the corner. More chops from Gunther follows. Orton blocks a chop and rains in right hands on Gunther. He hits a couple of uppercuts. Gunther replies with a forearm shot to the face. Orton then lands more shots before hitting punches from the second rope. Gunther pushes him to the mat. Orton goes for RKO out of nowhere but Gunther avoids it. Orton aggravates his knee injury in the process.
Gunther targets Orton’s leg for next minute. Orton tries to hit back from the corner but Gunther viciously takes him down. Gunther targets Orton’s back after this with some big shots. Gunther puts on a standing abdominal stretch. Orton drops to his knees as the pressure continues. Gunther drops him and gets a two-count. Gunther drops Orton once again. Orton blocks a suplex. Gunther also blocks the suplex. Orton finally hits a suplex to get a two-count.
Gunther ducks a clothesline and hits a big shot on Orton’s back. Orton counters with a clothesline. Gunther also hits a big chop before hitting a clothesline from the ropes. Gunther goes for the powerbomb but Orton backs him into the corner. Orton hits a snap powerslam. Gunther rolls to the apron to avoid a pin. Orton hits him with a draping DDT. He signals for RKO. Gunther pushes him away before hitting a body slam. Gunther hits a splash from the top rope to get a near fall.
Orton moves out of the way from the second splash and hits an RKO. Orton’s bad back makes him late for a cover. Gunther rolls to the floor when Orton goes for the cover. Orton drops Gunther on the announce table a couple of times with side slams. Gunther hits some chops in reply. The referee is counting down. Orton hits a back body drop to counter a powerbomb. Orton drops Gunther on the table once more. Orton brings Gunther back into the ring.
Gunther hits a dropkick to Orton’s knee on the apron. He brings Orton into the ring and puts on a single leg Boston Crab. This puts pressure on Orton’s knee and back. Orton quickly rolls him over to break the lock. Gunther kicks at his knee and puts on the half crab again. Orton breaks free once again. Gunther puts on the half crab again. Orton breaks free again and hits RKO. Gunther kicks out and hits at Orton’s knee in the process. Gunther gets Orton in a crucifix to get the pinfall.
Winner – Gunther
Gunther gets the crown after the match. Randy Orton is helped to the back. Byron Saxton gets into the ring to interview Gunther as the crowd chants “You deserve it”. Gunther says what he deserves or not is none of their business. The cheers quickly turn into boos. Gunther says The Apex Predator was taken care off and he will go to SummerSlam to win the title.
Triple H appears backstage with Kayla Braxton. He announces that Drew McIntyre is cleared and declared fit medically. He adds that Damian Priest has agreed to defend his World Heavyweight title against McIntyre. He announces the match for Clash at the Castle.
Cody Rhodes(c) vs Logan Paul – Undisputed WWE Championship
Ibraham Al Hajaj is the special announcer for this match. US Champion Logan Paul comes out first. Cody gets loud cheers during his entrance with some fans joining in to sing along with his song. Cody chases Logan for a lock up and pushes him to the corner. The referee calls for a break. Cody breaks free of a lock up with a cartwheel but Logan picks his leg to trip him. Cody picks up Logan’s leg next.
Some running the ropes from Cody but Logan dodges him with a leap. Cody hits a punch. Cody drops down for his signature punch but Logan blocks it and slams his arm to the mat. Cody fires some quick shots before a suplex. Cody goes for a crossbody but Logan dodges it with a split. Cody falls to the floor. Logan hits him with a crossbody before sending him into the steel steps.
Back to the ring, Logan corner Cody and hits several body shots. Logan is working on Cody’s ribs. He hits a gutbuster to drop Cody on his ribs. More punches to the ribs before hitting a standing moonsault to hurt the ribs some more. Cody catches him with a punch as Logan goes to the top. Logan drops him back to the floor but Cody quickly gets up and hits an armdrag from the top rope.
Logan goes for the octopus stretch but Cody blocks it. He gets Logan to the mat and hits a punch. Cody hits a disaster kick on the apron to knock Logan to the floor. They fight on the floor for a while. Cody sends Logan into the barricade. One of the Logan’s staff members starts to argue Cody. Cody brings him to ringside to beat him up. Another guy hands Logan brass knuckles. Logan catches Cody with a punch to the ribs with the brass knuckles.
Michael Cole gets up from his seat on the announce table and shouts at Logan for using the knuckles after promising him not to. Cody catches Logan with a suicide dive. Cody takes Logan back to the ring and gets his series of moves going. Logan blocks Cody Cutter with a punch. Cody rolls on with the momentum with more quick moves. Cody puts Logan in figure four. Logan manages to get to the ropes to break the lock. Cody hits a Cody Cutter to get a near fall.
Cody hits several punches in the corner. Logan hits Cody with Crossrhodes to counter a vertebreaker to get a nearfall. Cody hits some shots to set up for Crossrhodes but Logan throws him out and slams him on the announce table a few times. Logan clears the announce table after breaking the referee’s count. Logan gets on top of the table. Cody hits punches to the body before hitting a Cody Cutter. Cody gets into the ring. The referee continues the countdown but Cody stops him.
Cody clears the other announce table. Logan catches Cody with big punch with his titatnium laded hand. Logan sets up Cody on the announce table. He gets up on the top rope, drinks Prime and hits a frog splash on top of the table. Logan drags Cody into the ring. He hits another Frog splash but Cody kicks out of the pinfall. Logan hits more punches to Cody’s ribs. Cody hits a big boot from the corner. Logan sends Cody into the referee in the corner. Logan then catches the referee once again with a corner splash.
Cody hits Logan with the Vertebreaker but the referee is down and can not count the pin. Logan hits Cody with a low blow. He looks for the punch with brass knuckles. Abrahim Al Hajaj pulls Logan’s leg to stop him from using the brass knuckles. Cody blocks the punch and hits Logan with a trio of Crossrhodes to get the pinfall.
Winner – Cody Rhodes
Cody celebrates his win for a while before the show goes off the air.
