WWE has confirmed the first match for WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 PPV. Drew McIntyre’s WWE Championship will be on the line inside the Chamber.
Shane McMahon returned to WWE TV after 6 months to announce the main event of Elimination Chamber PPV. The Junior McMahon revealed that this year’s Elimination Chamber match will feature all former WWE Champions vying to win the title from Drew McIntyre.
AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Sheamus and The Miz will be the other 5 participants. All of them have held the WWE Championship at some point in time.
After the announcement, AJ Styles defeated Jeff Hardy in a singles match.
Men’s Royal Rumble winner Edge has also announced that he will wait till Elimination Chamber PPV to assess the title situation before making a decision on his WrestleMania 37 match.
Drew McIntyre also faced Randy Orton tonight on RAW. That match ended in a DQ after Sheamus’s Brogue kick, intended for McIntyre, hit Orton. Sheamus turned on McIntyre last week on RAW.
WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 PPV takes place on 21 February 2021 from Tropicana Fields in St. Petersburg, FL.
