WWE Announces Payback 2023 Merchandise & Viewership Records
WWE 2023 Payback PLE became the most-watched and highest-grossing PLE in the history of all Payback events.
WWE announced that Payback 2023 PLE recorded an announced attendance of 12,468, and the viewership was 36% higher than the previous record set by Payback in 2016.
Additionally, it also set a new record for the largest gate ever for any Payback event, surpassing the previous record set in Chicago in 2016 by an impressive 13 percent. Payback 2023 also became the highest-grossing WWE event ever held in Pittsburgh.

Payback breaks the all-time event merchandise record for the event. Fanatics was their retail partner. The 2023 Payback PLE merchandise sales saw a remarkable increase of 182 percent compared to the previous record set in 2017.
The 2023 Payback PLE reached another milestone by becoming the most-viewed event on social media in the history of Payback events. The event accumulated a total of 146 million social media views.
The best moment for Payback 2023 PLE was when Cody Rhodes announced Jey Uso will be part of the WWE Monday Night Raw. This announcement garnered significant attention, becoming the most-viewed moment with a remarkable seven million social views within just one day.
The main event was for the WWE World Heavyweight title match, where Seth Rollins defeated Shinsuke Nakamura.
