William Regal’s New WWE Role Revealed

There is a huge backstage update on William Regal’s new WWE role. 

According to the latest report by PWInsider, William Regal will have the position of the Vice President of the Company and will start in the first week of January 2023. However, the official title of Regal’s role is yet to be revealed. 

On December 4, it was finally confirmed that William Regal had left AEW and would return to WWE very soon. AEW President Tony Khan also stated that Regal would not be appearing on WWE TV anytime soon. 

WWE released William Regal earlier this year in January, which came as a huge shock to everyone. After two months, he appeared on AEW and formed a faction named Blackpool Combat Club. 

On the November 30 episode of AEW Dynamite, Regal was written off the TV after being attacked by MJF. The latter punched him with the brass knuckles on the back of his head. 

It was also reported that William Regal instantly regretted joining AEW as he thought that the management there was not mature enough. 

Regal is yet to make any comments on his new WWE role, but it is almost certain that fans will not see him on WWE TV until 2024.
