Seth Rollins was ambushed by Finn Balor in the opening segment of WWE RAW this week, but the original plan was much different as per reports.

Rollins and Balor are set to clash at WWE Money in the Bank 2023 PLE event over World Heavyweight Championship. The angle between Rollins and Balor stems from SummerSlam 2016 PPV event.
They faced each other in a match to determine the inaugural WWE Universal Championship holder. Balor secured the victory but he was forced to relinquish his title the next night because of his injury. With Rollins now the Universal Champion, Balor now wants revenge and challenged Rollins for the title.
