The Fiend Bray Wyatt might possibly be heading defending his WWE Universal Championship title against Daniel Bryan at Survivor Series 2019.
Dave Meltzer, on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, reported that The Fiend will defend the WWE Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan at Survivor Series. That might be the reason that The Fiend attacked Daniel Bryan in a backstage segment on SmackDown last week. The Fiend is announced to appear live on SmackDown this week. There is a good chance that the match will be made official after that.
Meltzer also noted that Wyatt was originally scheduled for another match on the show. It is believed that Wyatt might have faced The Miz on Survivor Series as per the original plan. That angle was going to be filmed on the SmackDown after Crown Jewel. The segment was ultimately scrapped after the SmackDown roster was stranded in Saudi Arabia due to mechanical issues on their flight.
The SmackDown will be airing live from Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia this week. The New Day is scheduled to face the Revival in the rematch for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
Update: Daniel Bryan is announced for the Miz TV segment for SmackDown this week.
