Goldberg vs Dolph Ziggler
Storyline- Dolph Ziggler moved from one feud to another from Kofi to Kevin Owens to the Miz in just about 3 episodes of SmackDown. In the meantime, Ziggler has been namedropping Goldberg in his promos quite a few times lately, ridiculing him to hang onto the ring for far too long for nostalgia.
Ziggler was announced to face Miz at SummerSlam earlier. But as Ziggler signed the contract, Miz told him that he will not be facing him at SummerSlam. Soon enough, Goldberg made his way to the ring and signed on the contract to face Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam.
Prediction- Goldberg to get a comprehensive win and a proper match at SummerSlam 2019.
Drew Gulak(c) vs Oney Lorcan – WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Storyline- After Mike Kanellis lost to Drake Maverick, he did not get the potential title shot at SummerSlam against Drew Gulak. Instead, a 6 pack challenge match took place at 205 Live between Oney Lorcan, Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, Akira Tozawa, Jack Gallagher and Kalisto to find a new challenger. Lorcan won that match taking advantage of the situation in the last minute.
Prediction- Drew Gulak is unlikely to lose the title so early in his reign. And Lorcan also has not shown any sign that he should be a champion.
Brock Lesnar(c) vs Seth Rollins – WWE Universal Championship
Storyline- We have seen this story play out previously. And that too not much long ago. Brock Lesnar was all-conquering, resilient, part-time WWE Universal Champion. Seth Rollins was chosen one to dethrone him as he won the Royal Rumble 2019 and chose to challenge Lesnar at WrestleMania. Lesnar went on to demolish him at an episode of RAW. Paul Heyman continued to hype Lesnar with his promos. In the end, Rollins triumphed and won the Universal Title.
A similar story started to play out as Lesnar successfully cashed in the Money in the Bank contract on Rollins at Extreme Rules (after an unsuccessful attempt at Super ShowDown). Rollins became the no. 1 contender once again after winning the Battle Royal(similar to Royal Rumble). And then, once again Lesnar demolished Rollins at an episode of RAW. This time in a far more brutal manner. The only thing remains to be seen is whether this time, Rollins will triumph or not.
Prediction- The story will repeat itself and Seth Rollins will triumph. But WWE need to put him over properly. If they need him to carry the promotion, he should be defeating Lesnar for good and get a statement win in a good match. Not like a low blow and 3 stomps at WrestleMania.
