Randy Orton Sets the Trap!!
We go to the ring and out comes Randy Orton to a pop. Fans chant Orton’s name as he takes the mic. Orton says we will have a new WWE Champion in two weeks and also prove that Kofi is a fraud and has never been on his level. Orton goes on about setting a trap last week but fans interrupt by chanting for Kofi. Orton says the best part about last week was the sweet sound of Kofi’s skull bouncing off the floor.
Orton says he doesn’t want to wait for Clash of Champions and calls out Kofi. The New Day’s music hits and Orton waits but Kofi never comes out. We see The Revival appear on the stage, beating on Kofi. They brawl to the ringside area as Kofi starts to get the upper hand on Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder.
Orton comes out to the floor and makes the save. Orton brings Kofi into the ring. Kofi fights back and fights them off but they come back and The Revival assists Orton with a super RKO. Kofi is laid out once again in the middle of the ring. Orton and The Revival stand tall over Kofi as officials checks on Kofi.
Andrade vs Chad Gable – King of the Ring Quarterfinal Match
Zelina Vega gets on the mic and says, as a fellow vertically challenged superstar she has nothing but respect for him. She says she could see him actually being the next King of the Ring if Andrade wasn’t in the tournament. The match starts and Gable takes down Andrade with a waist lock takedown. He gets a two-count with a roll-up in the corner. He sends Andrade to the corner with an arm drag and sends him flying with a monkey flip. Andrade counters another monkey flip and dumps him out of the ring.
Gable is beginning to make a comeback when we return. He hits a unique suplex for a two count. Andrade hits a boot to the face but Gable gets him on the top rope. El Idolo hangs him in the tree of woe for a double stomp and a near fall. Gable counters the triple vertical suplex and hits a pair of German suplexes. Andrade counters the third and hits another vertical suplex.
Andrade climbs to the top rope for a moonsault while selling his back injury but Gable blocks with his knees. The Olympian heads up and hits his own moonsault for a very close two count. Gable avoids the running double knee and hits a rolling German suplex. Vega distracts the ref so he can’t make the count. Andrade drills him with an elbow but Gable counters the Hammerlock DDT and rolls him up for the pin and the win.
Winner- Chad Gable (Advances to Semifinals of King of the Ring)
Aleister Black vs Shelton Benjamin
Aleister Black with usual entrance makes his way to the ring as he has promised earlier. Let’s see who answers his challenge. We go to the commercial break and Shelton Benjamin has answered the challenge by the time we return.
They start with an exchange of takedowns and counters. Black hits a brutal knee that sends Benjamin out of the ring. Shelton repays him with a knee that knocks him off the apron. Aleister comes back with some kicks and Shelton fired back with some knees. Black ducks a spin kick and nails him with Black Mass for the pin and the win.
Winner- Aleister Black
Back from the break, WWE 24/7 Champion Drake Maverick is backstage with wife Renee Michelle. The Singh Brothers and The B Team attack but he fights them off and avoids a pin. Bo Dallas ends up getting the pin on Drake for the title. Bo Dallas runs off with the WWE 24/7 Title and Curtis Axel is with him.
