New WWE Intercontinental Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura is interviewed backstage by Charly Caruso. Nakamura says he’s now free to reign down chaos on the whole WWE Universe. Mustafa Ali comes up and congratulates him sarcastically.
The New Day Celebration and Challenge
The New Day are out next! All three men are currently the champions and Kofi says they have all the gold. Big E adds that he and Woods accept Daniel Bryan’s challenge. Daniel Byran’s music hits and he comes out with Rowan. Bryan takes a mic and teases saying something before he walks to the back. He comes back out and does the same thing again. He comes out a third time, drops the mic and leaves.
For the fourth time, it is now Samoa Joe who comes out and issues his challenge to Kofi. Elias follows him out and says that he is the biggest acquisition in SmackDown history and should get the title shot. Randy Orton is out next and issues his own challenge to Kofi. Elias mentions that they all can not go at Kofi at the same time. So, he proposes a six-man tag team match. New Day does some mock discussions and accepts the challenge. Randy Orton excuses himself from the match but Kofi goads him into the match.
Randy Orton, Samoa Joe and Elias defeated the New Day
Samoa Joe and Kofi start us off but The New Day soon trade tags and work on Joe. Joe hits back with Big E as the legal man before tagging in Elias. E drops Elias and tags in Woods. Elias and Woods are at the ropes. Orton pulls Woods down by the hair with the referee looking the other way. Elias takes advantage and tosses Woods out of the ring as we head to commercial.
Back from the break, Elias is still in control. He goes for a Superplex but Woods gathers himself. Both men make tags. Kofi and Orton are legal now. Orton goes for an RKO but Kofi blocks it and hits a flying crossbody. Things are breaking down fast as Woods takes out Joe with a suicide dive. In the ring, Kofi hits Elias with a Trouble In Paradise. Orton hits Kofi with an RKO and wins the match for his team after pinning the WWE Champion.
Back from the break and Carmella is looking for WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth backstage. He’s hiding in what looks like an old washing machine and apparently he’s stuck. Carmella helps him out. Carmella suggests Truth go to Comic Con to hide out from potential challengers. It looks like they are going to SDCC.
Kabuki Warriors defeated the IIconics via disqualification in a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match
Kairi Sane starts off strong against Royce with a springboard headscissor takedown. Asuka comes in for a double team move to get a two count. Peyton avoids the running hip strike and tags Billie to hit a boot to the face for a near fall. Kay takes a kick to the head and falls out of the ring. She intentionally gets counted out so they can retain their titles.
Asuka and Sane get angry and attack The IIconics after the match. Asuka sends Peyton into the ringpost and Billie is crashed into the barricade by Sane. Peyton is brought to the ring and eats a spinning kick from Asuka and an InSane elbow from Sane. Paige stands with them in the ring as Kay and Royce retreat up the ramp.
