Sami Zayn is NXT!!
Backstage, Sami Zayn is interviewed by Cathy Kelly. He takes a shot at NXT, but they have to watch where they stick their nose because if one of them steps up to him, it’s gonna be bad news for them. Matt Riddle and Keith Lee enter. Zayn starts sucking up to them and tells them that he loves NXT in his time on the brand. He goes for a big t-shirt reveal but he is actually just wearing a plain black shirt. He claims he was eating a salad, so he’s gonna go to his car and get the t-shirt.
Zayn leaves and they follow him. Sami runs out of the Gorilla position and through the entrance. Lee and Riddle chase him. Riddle catches up to him and throws him in the ring. Flip Flops are off and Zayn is begging them, but he hit a lariat. Riddle dodges and hits the Ripcord knee strike. Tombstone piledriver from Keith, followed by Doomsault.
The Miz TV with the Special Guest The Miz
Miz mentions how his guest tonight was supposed to be the new WWE Universal Champion, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. But he was unable to make it due to the travel issues from Saudi Arabia. Highlights from Crown Jewel. Miz goes on and mentions the NXT Superstars appearing tonight – Shayna Baszler, Matt Riddle and Keith Lee and is interrupted by NXT’s Tommaso Ciampa.
Ciampa takes the mic and says MizTV is supposed to be “must see” TV and Miz is supposed to be one of the most “must see” Superstars. Ciampa says he is the greatest sports entertainer of all time and it’s time someone showed The Miz where he sits in the food chain. He says Miz is what is wrong with Raw and SmackDown. Miz says he knows exactly who Ciampa is and puts over his accomplishments before saying he is not impressed by him.
The Miz vs Tommaso Ciampa
They lock up and Miz gets the first takedown. They lock up again and Ciampa knocks him down with a shoulder tackle. He tosses Miz to the apron but Miz slides under his legs and rolls him up for a two count. The A-Lister throws him out of the ring but misses a dropkick through the ropes. Tommaso runs him into the barricade and steel steps a few times. Miz fights out of a headlock and hits a few punches and knees. He drops Ciampa with a back and neckbreaker for a two count.
Ciampa lays him out with a clothesline and hits a brutal running knee in the corner for two. The A-Lister clips his knee but Ciampa fights back. They screw up a powerbomb but Miz recovers with a DDT for another two-count. He locks Tommaso in the Figure Four but the NXT star rolls him over to reverse the pressure before he grabs the rope to force a break. Miz hits his corner clothesline but Ciampa takes him out with a knee as he jumps off the top rope. He hits the Fairytale Ending for the pin and the win.

Daniel Bryan is backstage. He stops at Triple H and Shawn Michaels and asks why they are here. Triple H brings up how all three brands will battle at Survivor Series 2019. Bryan challenges Triple H to a match on tonight’s show and Hunter gets in Bryan’s face. Triple H backs off and says he didn’t bring his gear but he knows someone who did. Triple H calls NXT Champion Adam Cole over and says he is looking for a fight. Bryan says let’s do this right – Bryan vs Cole but for the title. Triple H says Bryan is a gambling man and he likes it. Cole says that works for him too.
