This week’s SmackDown episode will deal with the fallout from WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 PPV and build-up for WWE Fastlane 2021. Since we are on the road to WrestleMania, we might get to see many more storylines developing for the show. Universal Championship and SmackDown Women’s championship match looks set, but other matches are needed to be finalized.
How will Roman Reigns Respond to Edge?
Roman Reigns wanted Edge to choose him as his opponent for WrestleMania 37. He even tried to bully Edge into accepting his offer and actually fired the first shot by spearing him to close SmackDown last week.
Edge responded with a spear of his own at Elimination Chamber after Roman had successfully defended the title. Not only this, Edge gave Roman his wish and confirmed that he will face Roman at WrestleMania for Universal Championship.
With match set, what will Roman has to say for Edge’s attack? Will we see the likes of Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan and others getting involved in favor of Edge? And will Roman defend his title at WWE Fastlane 2021 event?
Bianca Belair To Make WrestleMania Decision
Bianca Belair became the 2021 women’s Royal Rumble match and earned the chance to challenge for world title. She has been pondering over her choice of champion to challenge at WrestleMania for 4 weeks now. We were about to get a decision from her last week, but was rudely interrupted by Reginald.
It will change this week as Bianca will make her choice for WrestleMania 37. Will it be SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks or will it be RAW Women’s titleholder Asuka?
Street Profits vs Sami Zayn & King Corbin
The Street Profits want the SmackDown Tag Team Championship back as soon as possible. They tried to get to Sonya Deville and even cut short her interview at Elimination Chamber for that. They are now getting a reward with a match against Sami Zayn and King Corbin. Will they be back in contention for the title with a big win tonight?
Rey Mysterio & Dominik Mysterio vs Otis & Chad Gable
Last week, we saw Otis and Chad Gable beating Rey Mysterio brutally in what was believed to be their heel turn. Both sides will meet once again in a rematch tonight. Will the result be any different? Or does Rey Mysterio has something up his sleeves to get back at Otis and Gable?
Elimination Chamber 2021 Recap for SmackDown
- Daniel Bryan defeated Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, King Corbin and Sami Zayn to win the #1 contender Elimination Chamber match for Universal Championship.
- Jey Uso trapped Kevin Owens in the chamber door and brutalized him with Superkicks to pin and eliminate him from the match.
- Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan to retain the Universal Championship.
- WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler retained their titles against WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair. Reginald’s distraction gave Nia Jax an opportunity to attack Sasha for the win.

SmackDown 19 February 2021 Recap
- Roman Reigns tells Edge to choose him as WrestleMania opponent after Edge cuts a promo.
- Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Apollo Crews via roll-up. Post-match, Crews attacks Nakamura. When WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E tries to stop him, Crews attacked Big E also with steel steps.
- Seth Rollins reveals that he has filled an official complaint to WWE about Cesaro who disrespected him the prior week.
- We see Edge meeting several stars backstage – Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan, Cesaro & King Corbin.
- Tamina Snuka & Natalya defeated Ruby Riott & Liv Morgan after a distraction from Billie Kay. Billie Kay joins them in celebration after the match, but gets dropped by Tamina.
- Bianca Beliar, Sasha Banks & Reginald defeated Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler & Bayley. Reginald pinned Nia.
- Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio defeated Chad Gable and Otis via DQ with a referee count. Gable instructs Otis to continue to attack Rey Mysterio after the match. The pair turned heel.
- Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan and Cesaro defeated Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn and Jey Uso in the main event match.
- Post main event, everyone started to attack each other. Edge speared Jey Uso. Roman speared Edge to close the show.
