Kayla then introduces her real guest which is Jeff Hardy. Jeff says he is healthy and hungry, done a lot of soul searching over the past few months and has a lot more to do in WWE. King Baron Corbin interrupts him. Corbin says not everyone is happy that Hardy is back and that he is the one who runs SmackDown now. Corbin takes a shot at Hardy troubled issues with alcohol and his DUI charges. Hardy then reveals that they have a match tonight.
We hear Elias’ guitar playing guitar as he walks up. They have some words and Corbin isn’t happy. Elias wants to perform something he made for Corbin. But Corbin storms off and doesn’t want to listen to what may have been a warning. Elias says Corbin has no idea what’s coming.
Triple H joins Cole at the announce table again and jokes about Cole’s commentary again. They send us to look at Daniel Bryan’s win over Drew Gulak from WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 and Triple H praise to Gulak. We see Daniel Bryan backstage now. He walks up to Drew Gulak and praises for his performance at Elimination Chamber. He says he is willing to learn from Gulak.
Sami Zayn, Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura walk up. Sami laughs and brings up how Bryan turned down his invite to join their group a while back. Sami goes on and says Bryan has now been reduced to asking for tips from a nobody. Bryan steps to Sami but Cesaro gets in the way. Bryan says his issue is with Sami, not Cesaro.
Cesaro says if Bryan has an issue wit Sami, he has one with Cesaro as well. Bryan asks if that’s a challenge and Sami says it is. They have more words and Bryan tells them to meet him in the ring. Bryan walks off. Gulak steps up and has a few words for Sami, then walks off. Sami indicates that Cesaro and Nakamura will be wrestling Gulak and Bryan.
We are now getting the replay from tag team Elimination Chamber match from last Sunday. The match continues between multiple breaks. After three commercials, the match is finally completed. SmackDown Tag Team Champions, John Morrison and The Miz, are in the ring now. Miz brags about the Elimination Chamber win.
They issue challenges for anyone to speak now from the crowd if they don’t believe these are the best(the crowd is not there so nobody will reply obviously). Miz says there will be no booing and no “you suck!” chants tonight. They keep bragging about being champions and pose together in the ring and raise titles to end the segment.
Back from the break and Triple H is filming Cole, joking about filling in as a cameraman as they are short of crew tonight. Cole talks up the rumors of Rob Gronkowski joining WWE and we have Mojo Rawley joining the announce table to talk about his friend. Mojo said he talked to Gronkowski earlier today and the rumors are true. He says nothing has been signed yet, but Gronk will be here next week. Mojo tries to get Cole hyped up as he leaves the announce table.
Daniel Bryan vs Cesaro
Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak made their entrance before the break. Cesaro comes out now with Shinsuke Nakamura and WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn. Back and forth to start the match. Cesaro ends up turning it around and unloading on Bryan as Gulak also looks on from ringside. Cesaro unloads in the corner and beats Bryan down with forearms and uppercuts. We go to commercial with Cesaro in control.
Bryan tries to kick Cesaro but he comes up with another uppercut. Cesaro decks him on the apron before a superplex for a two-count. Bryan is whipped into the corner where he counters Cesaro and comes with a clothesline from the ropes. Bryan gets the sidekicks going as Cesaro is in the middle of the ring. The kicks continue in the corner until Cesaro drops Bryan. Cesaro takes him into crossface and Bryan counters to a pin attempt to win the match.
