According to the latest rumors coming out of WWE, Torrie Wilson and Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake will be inducted as part of the class of 2019 WWE Hall of Fame.
Earlier a model and a fitness competitor, Torrie Wilson signed with WCW in 1999 where she portrayed the role of valet/manager of many male superstars from nWO and David Flair among others. In WWE also, she worked as a heel in a feud with various female stars like Lita, Trish Stratus and others, while also worked as the managers for many male stars. Wilson has been on the covers of many magazines including Playboy on which she has been featured twice. She retired from wrestling in 2008 after she took time off due to her back injury and subsequently being released from WWE. Since then she has made some sporadic appearances. Most notable of them coming last year at RAW 25 years episode, the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble and Battle Royal at Evolution event.
Brutus Beefcake(real name Edward Leslie) is a former WWE Tag Team champion with Greg Valentine as his partner in the Dream Team. He worked a match at the inaugural WrestleMania against David Sammartino which resulted in a double disqualification. He also had some feuds with Hulk Hogan and would be fellow 2019 Hall of Famer, the Honky Tonk Man. He is also famous for cut his opponents’ hairs after defeating them. After a parasailing accident in 1990 where Brutus suffered a crushed facial skeleton, his career was put on hold for almost two years. He would later return 1991 and began hosting the interview segment “The Barber Shop”. In the same segment, the famous Rockers split up happened when Shawn Michaels superkicked partner Marty Jannetty and threw him through a plate glass window. Upon joining WCW in 1994, Brutus worked various characters like the Butcher, the Man with No Name, the Booty Man and the Disciple of Hulk Hogan.
The WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place at Toyota Center in Brooklyn, New York on 6th April.
