Extreme Rules 2022: Ronda Rousey Becomes New SD Women’s Champion

Ronda Rousey finally managed to get her title back from Liv Morgan by defeating her in an Extreme Rules match at WWE Extreme Rules 2022 event.

Liv was trying to get an upper hand with the help of weapons ever since the match started. However, it was difficult to dominate the baddest woman on the planet.

There was a time when Liv almost won the match when she hit a leg drop from the top rope to Ronda on the top of the table.

However, right after it, Ronda puts Liv in an armbar. Initially, Liv managed to counter it, but then Rousey adjusted her submission and the champion faded out. However, it seems like Liv was enjoying all this pain as she was smiling during and after Rousey puts her in the submission move.

The rivalry between Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan started when the latter cashed-in her MITB contract to become the SmackDown women’s champion.

At SummerSlam 2022, Liv Morgan controversially retained her title against Rousey as she tapped out before pinning Ronda. It infuriated Ronda, and she attacked the official and Morgan after the match and faced a suspension.

On the September 9 episode of SmackDown, Ronda Rousey won the fatal-5-way match to earn an opportunity to face Morgan again. The following week, Liv Morgan announced that she would defend the SmackDown women’s title against Rousey in an Extreme Rules match at the PPV event.
