Roman Reigns has been announced to be leading Team Hulk Hogan at Crown Jewel 2019 after former captain Seth Rollins was removed from the match.

As we reported earlier, Seth Rollins was removed from the 10 men tag team match between Team Hogan and Team Flair. He will instead defend the WWE Universal Championship against the Fiend Bray Wyatt at Crown Jewel 2019. We speculated that Roman Reigns replace him as the captain of Team Hogan.

Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair had a bit of to-and-fro on Twitter earlier in the week after Rollins was removed as the captain. On this week’s Friday Night SmackDown episode, Hulk Hogan connected with the commentary team via Skype and told Flair that he always had his number and he should not worry about his team. He also told that the captain and the rest of his team will be revealed by the end of the night.

Hogan mentioned that most of the locker room wants to be in his team but he reserved special praise for Shorty G and Ali. Before the main event match of the episode, it was revealed that Roman Reigns will captain Hogan’s team and Shorty G and Ali will take the remaining two spots. The current team line-up for the teams is as below:

  • Team Hulk Hogan- Roman Reigns(c), Rusev, Ricochet, Shorty G, Ali
  • Team Ric Flair- Randy Orton(c), Bobby Lashley, King Baron Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura +1 more
