Roman Reigns, 3 Matches Announced for WWE SmackDown Dec 16
WWE has announced two title matches for December 16, 2022 episode of SmackDown along with the return of Roman Reigns, and a three-way tag team match.
Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will return for next week’s SmackDown airing from Chicago. It is not announced what will Roman’s agenda on the show.
This week, Jey Uso told Sami Zayn to smarten up and hinted that next week might be a big one for Sami as Roman returns to SmackDown for the first time since Survivor Series. It can be expected that The Bloodline’s rivalry with Kevin Owens will continue in some sort of way next week.
It was already announced that Gunther will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Ricochet, who won the SmackDown World Cup last week. Gunther has beaten Ricochet twice previously. They met in a contract signing segment this week which led to a tag team match with New Day partnering with Ricochet against the Imperium trio.
The WWE Women’s Tag team champion Damage CTRL(Dakota Kai and Ivo Sky) will go up against Liv Morgan and Tegan Fox with the Title on the line. Morgan and Nox defeated Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler in a tag team match this week.
Hit Row(Top Dolla and Ashantee “Thee” Adonis), Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar), and Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro) will go all out against each other in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match. All three teams have attacked each other in the last few weeks.
Zelina Vega, B-Fab, and Valhalla are expected to be ringside for the match as they have rivalry going on between themselves.
