ROH Supercard of Honor 2023 was the first PPV event of 2023 from Ring of Honor. The event took place on March 31, 2023, at Galen Center in Los Angeles, CA.
New ROH Tag Team Champions were crowned in the “Reach for the Sky” Ladder match on this show. Claudio Castagnoli and Eddie Kingston clashed in the match for ROH World Championship. El Hijo Del Vikingo vs Komander match for AAA Mega Championship was also announced.

EVENT NOTES
- This is the 15th event in the Supercard of Honor series.
- This event took place during WrestleMania weekend as it has been a tradition for Supercard of Honor events mostly since its inception in 2006.
- This is the first Supercard event after ROH’s sale to Tony Khan, but the second Supercard event to be booked by Tony Khan.

El Hijo Del Vikingo(c) vs Kommander – AAA Mega Championship
El Hijo Del Vikingo and Komander impressed AEW fans with their amazing displays on their Dynamite appearances in the month of March. They were later announced to clash at Supercard of Honor in the match for AAA Mega Championship. Vikingo has held the title at this point for more than 470 days.

The Embassy(Brian Cage, Toa Liona & Kaun)(c) vs AR Fox, Metalik & Blake Christian – ROH 6-Man Tag Team Championship
The Embassy would defend their trios titles or 6-Man Tag Team titles against a makeshift team of AR Fox, Blake Christian and Metalik.
Winners – The Embassy
Athena(c) vs Yuka Sakazaki – ROH Women’s Championship
After her successful title defense against Willow Nightingale and Hyan, Athena called out out Yuka Sakazaki to face her. The challenge was later accepted by Sakazaki.

Samoa Joe(c) vs Mark Briscoe – ROH World TV Championship
Samoa Joe put out an open challenge for his ROH TV title at Supercard of Honor. Mark Briscoe answered to that challenge a week later before the match was made official.

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Daniel Garcia
Daniel Garcia interrupted Tony Khan’s promo to the live crowd after AEW Dynamite March 29 tapings. He then went on to challenge Hiroshi Tanahashi for a match at Supercard of Honor. Tony Khan made it official on social media a few minutes later.

Lucha Bros(Penta El Zero Meido & Rey Fenix Jr.) vs Top Flight(Dante Martin & Darius Martin) vs La Faccion Ingobernagles(RUSH & Dralistico) vs The Kingdom(Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) vs Aussie Open(Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher)- Reach for the Sky Ladder Match for ROH Tag Team Championship
Jay Briscoe, one half of ROH Tag Team Champions The Briscoes, died in a car accident in January 2023. Mark Briscoe, Jay’s brother and other half of the tag champions, announced the Reach for the Sky Ladder match to crown new Tag Team Champions at Supercard of Honor 2023. Lucha Bros were announced as the first team for the match. Top Flight, The Kingdom, Aussie Open and LFI were added to the match later.

Wheeler Yuta(c) vs Katsuyori Shibata – ROH Pure Championship
Wheeler Yuta started bad-mouthing NJPW’s LA Dojo upon his successful defense on March 9 ROH TV episode. Clark Connors confronted him and challenged him for a match. Yuta was able to defend the title successfully against Connors the following week and once again started talking trash about LA Dojo. This led to Katsuyori Shibata, the trainer of LA Dojo, coming out to challenge Yuta for a match.

Claudio Castagnoli(c) vs Eddie Kingston – ROH World Championship
Eddie Kingston and Claudio Castagnoli had a feud dating back several years. Kingston stopped appearing in AEW before he came to ROH TV episode of March 2 to challenge Claudio for ROH World Championship. Eddie later poured coffee over Claudio when Claudio was in the front row during Eddie’s match. Claudio and Eddie had an interview on March 23 episode of ROH TV where they agreed to a title match at Supercard of Honor 2023.
